The president of fifa said that the referre of holland vs Portugal, was not up to the match, and that he(the referee) got a yellow. Plus the faul against ronaldo at the begining of the match deserved a straight red card, and that deco didn't deserved the red card.

So as usual we, portugueses, will blame it on the referre, altough we still won the match.. i still don't understand how holland didn't won, but hey i'm happy next stop england!

And Italy dives their way into the group of 8. I can't believe the ref called that penalty... figures he was French.

Good lord I hate how the Americans/Canadians call it the "Group of 16" and "Group of 8"

The BBC commentators were taking the piss out of you fall calling it that, its the "Last 16" and Quarter Finals.

We can call it whatever the hell we want.

The BBC commentators didn't quite convince me yet either though. Watched the England match yesterday and when the commentator said "[some English player] goes for a jolly good run" I couldn't resist to roll my eyes

i have just discovered ESPN.com does live streaming of games (even works with Firefox). This has drastically cut down my productivity.

You just delayed the release of Crysis by one month.

I found out about that on the first monday I believe, since I desperately needed to watch all the football I could. Only have really missed the First games of the day since they are too early.

undeserved. Ghana was the true winner

Take away the offsides goal and it's still 2-0. Brazil is going to be hard to beat.
