I was just happy I found a stable version, hotkeys or not it was better than radient, qoogle, or quark for me. The only thing that I had a problem with while I was messing around in it was the 3d view, the controls are really odd.

You are complicating things too much imo, screw it

Yeah, WC 1.6 is just kind of funny. Almost all the hot keys are gone. Buttons are missing. It's like driving your car all day long and then coming outside and finding it has 3 wheels, the steering wheel is a dead cat on a stick, and the engine is a bunch of hampsters in wheels.

you know, that's exactly like going from D3/Q4 Radiant to GTK 1.5, except GTK is like... new.

GTKRadiant is like a Harley, it doesn't need those fancy extra wheels and whatnot

Awesome, I've always wanted to make Q2 maps.

    *starts installing q2 again*

I'm not talking about extra wheels, I'm talking about wheels that are missing entirely or replaced with something less functional like a refrigerator. It adds nothing useful except the freelook camera view which, once you're used to the keyboard movement or fly mode, is also a pain

Let me clarify, who needs four wheels when two will do just fine.

But seriously I suppose it must feel akward to downgrade.

    [Blocked Image: http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/6852/irdispenser9wx.jpg]

Dispenser that the Commandante drops to supply his troops with new weapons.

I didn't like the turrets I did earlier so I revamped them to be like this. Oooo, they transform!

    [Blocked Image: http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/8665/irturretclosed1ld.jpg]

Turret all closed up! The dispenser closes up the same way and can be carried on the backs of the player models.

    ooh, Seksay

I prefer these ones, and the transforming is a nice touch.

Oh ya, can the commandante deploy turrets as well, and does he even get to use the dispenser himself?

    Yes and yes.

The only difference between a commandante and a regular soldier is that he's the only one that can drop a dispenser unit. Once it is deployed he can use it to upgrade his main gun just the same as anyone else (but he can also pick up the dispenser and drop it off elsewhere). He can drop his main gun as a turret as well.

    Oh, not this argument again.

I will say, though, that freelook camera is EVERYTHING.

My friend Tom (coder for Wasteland HL, Dead Cities, etc) is doing the coding work right now. Although I'd like to see about getting more people on the project to speed it up.

I don't know off hand. However, I do know that we did remove some of the caps on texture sizes and such. I still think polycounts should be kept low-ish.

Were you thinking of making something?

To make things better I show you a potential airstrike bomber model that you can call in via the dispenser unit Enjoy this for now! I'll see about getting the build up onto a download space later on.

    Me likes

Though the cockpit could be more like, you know a cockpit. But I guess it's unmanned or something

And I see that its "INFRA-RED" now
