I really hope this game is nothing like the other Tiberium universe games because they all sucked like hardcore. What I don't get is how long is EA going to milk the C & C generals engine. its like they take the same engine and use it for 5 different games because they lack any skill to actually make anything themselves. While I will agree C & C generals was a good game and one of the few RTS games that is worth playing, but I feel that they need to make the move foreward and stop re-hacking the same old stuff they have been re-packing for years now. BOOO to EA

Its using the same engine as Battle for middle earth 2, which everyone knows is the same used on generals / zero hour with some tweaks. Personally I think that little video was pure shit, I love c&c (westwood's work) EA on the other hand have really done awfull. The only thing I can really give credit to them is in the voice work which is supurb on all the c&c titles they have had their hands in.

Hmmm I might buy this for the singleplay story since I got 1 & 2,
but for the gameplay I bet my money on Supreme Commander.

Chris taylor gave a nice demo of supreme commander at E3 and it looks hot... The idea of the game is cool and the whole global mass scale thing is rather nifty. I do bet that it will do well among some of the more hardcore RTS players. as far as the game in this topic there is nothing they can do to salvage the Tiberium Suns Storyline NOTHING.

i am telling you the demo was awsome... they showed some land battle that you were controlling on one side of the world and then you could come over to some ocean on the otherside of the world and telling your ships and subs to be attacking something else, the game looked good and the idea seem to play well in the demo.

Arent there any videos online?

Holy shit Supreme Commander is looking amazing

The thing with me and RTS games is that I can never seem to do anything while something else is going on. For example, building units while being attacked... and other things of that nature. So there must be a trick to it.
It's like playing baldur's gate and casting a healing spell while your people are being attacked - it takes to long. So, you pause the game, set up the spell, and unpause.
I guess I'm no good at RTS games.
-
well the nice thing about Supreme commander is that you can set it up that so when your units get built they get transported to the frontlines automaticlly. The game says okay where are the most units dieing lets send stuff there when its done getting built.

Isn't there also some sort of "Base Commander" for people who suck at RTS economies and resource gathering?

Supreme Commander is going to drop kick c&c 3

Yeah you can have youre base commander build templates.
Not sure how thats gonna work out, maybe its just a list of buildings he has to build in a order or maybe you can save actual layouts to be used as templates.
The (base)commander also automatily rebuilds destroyed buildings.
