I'll buy it, but only on the 31st or 30th. No need in putting this on April's paycheck when it can be done on May's

Valve says is gonna be their best singleplay expirience to date.

Somehow I doubt thats gonna be the case and to be on the save (or is it safe) side I am just gonna wait for reviews or a bundle of the episodes later on.

This episodic distribution doesn't feel right at all. I don't like it.

What's wrong with it? I think with episodic system Valve can concentrate on a smaller scale project and make it better than a bigger and huge project that takes time to plan and develop.

    I think it's a great deal.

The thing is if they just released an expansion without episodes we would only get the same ammount of gameplay as a single episode and it would cost quite a bit more. (Blueshift anyone?)

Just bought it, currently pre-loading it. I hope this whole episodic content actually is filled with $17 worth of gameplay each episode, but as long as I have fun in the end, I guess I dont really care.

I was told by a few people it was bad but that was one of the reasons it got held back and should be much better now, lets hope

I get to play a game that I buy for 19.95 USD(or whatever it costs) for 4-6 hours. Probably less. Then I wait half a year for another episode.

Sounds like a waste of time, money, and energy to me. I pray to whatever god there might be that other developers don't pick up this crap. It's bogus.

Soon we have like 2000 different HL2 single player games, great.. They will fuck the hl'ish feeling by making manymany different episode..

Just think of it as an expansion pack, although actual expansion packs usually cost the same as the full game in my experience. This is cheaper and you get a good amount of gameplay. I don't see what the problem is if it results in less waiting between each game.

It's taken them this long just to make one episode. Imagine how long you'd be waiting if they were to them all and release as a full blown expansion. The answer: far too long.

But if they were to do it all at once and still have as many hours of gameplay as say 3 episodes it would cost alot more than most would be willing to pay.

Not to mention as thrik said we would have to wait forevor.

I really hope there aren't more than 2 or 3 episodes though.

And really this episodic thing has been around since Wolfenstein 3D

    Or atleast I think so...
