It was clearly a joke — I don't type with a total lack of grammar when being serious. xDThinking about Unreal's map some more, I think it was actually ol' Mikezilla who did its textures. Do you know what I mean, Mikey?

Was it the one with the lighthouse? I remember the map, but not the name.

One of the most inspirational levels by Badmofo for Nightwatch. The simple magnitude of entities in this was... wow

That and ken20bank's NW stuff inspired me

Ahh yes at first that shot looks like some nextgen 10k+ poly environment which is really the biggest praise a map can get. That's what I love about mapping, creating a composition of brushes, textures and lighting making it look like a lot more than it really is.

Laguna is indeed great. Some of the interior lighting ain't THAT good though. The tree shadow also looks horrible. They could have used a transparent texture to simulate the shadow or even bake it to the grass texture.

seeing that silo in ACTION was impressive. The one that wasn't blown up and the one that you watch get blown up. BadMofo is a scripting god.

I'll try and remember to grab it off the CD upload it next time, unless Badmofo still has it on his site...

Doi, I think I meant low settings. It looks better than that on my computer. Atleast I think so...

Maybe the game has really aged.

Edit: btw, can a mod or somebody please change the name of this thread to something more appropriate?

Meybe it's me feeling all nostalgic, but dod_jagd has always been one of my all time favorites. Amongst dod_glider and falaise.

    The times...

Don't say that, him and 3d-mike were so proud of their new leafs! It doesn't matter that the colours don't fit in at all and that it looks quite unrealistic as it is teh new index blended alpha sprites(or whatever it was they called it)!

No dude that tree really was god awful
