The reasons the forums are so nazi is because they are a SomethingAwful spinoff.

They get so angry about incorrect spelling and grammar, they will paste links to a post with errors in irc and have hour long conversations about it.

It's what the core members and admins expect. Zero Tolerance.

I don't know garry and i really don't know if he's an asshole, i haven't even played garry's mod much, not too excited about it. Anyway, i'm really wondering why you all flame him because he's earning money from it. Lot of guys who says "this sucks" probably would do the same thing, at least i would. Tho, i don't consider garry's mod as a mod which is worth of paying, since it's not even a "game", kinda.

Nothing wrong with garry. Ppl can act like asses whenever they want to on their own websites. It doesnt mean anything. And i seriously doubt he even acts like that.

Especially you should know that acting like an ass doesnt make you an ass, Curman.

I'm not insulting Garry, or saying him making cash is a rip-off. I just think the idea is going to backfire simply because of previous releases already out there. It won't be worth it to update for a few more features.

And RD: "I don't know Garry well-enough to say anything about him personally. Just from an outside perspective." I wasn't at all saying anythin' insulting regarding Garry, I simply noted some things on his forums. You guys are overly defensive on here.

Word is Valve aproached him, and he's getting the source sourcecode in return.

    Anyway its 'hear say'.

It doesn't interest me, therefore I wont touch it. Far be it for me to tell anyone else not to bother though.

    I will buy it.

Garry spent a lot of hard work into garry's mod and just $10 for it is alright.

And now when he will be paid for the mod, he will add a lot more advance and cooler stuffs.

There is nothing wrong with Gmod , yes it gets boring after a while because you need to learn how to make those advance and fun stuffs.

I wont buy it the first week or so, because I'm very poor and can't really afford it at the moment.

And this mod is very advance, what mod have motion blur? And what mod let's you weld together a 6 wheeler and then code a racing game mode in LUA and then race with the 6 wheeler?

Actually his grammer wasn't too bad. It was the use of the word "advance" instead of "advanced".

    Grammar.

Anyways, my thoughts on the whole *cry cry* GMOD shit is who gives a fuck, it was fun for 15 minutes. Anybody who likes it after that clearly likes it enough to buy it, so why not just buy it.

Christ, you could buy Gmod or a dimebag. Every forum I lurk, people are whiny and crying calling garry a faggot, but it's all in vain since he's going to do it anyways. Onos! Gmod is goen ooooooo what will I make my shitty HL2 pose comics with?

    SMod? The Japanese ripoff? Probably!

I wouldn't mind if Gmod actually had staying power, but it doesnt. You join a laggy server, goof around for 10 mins then go "lol" and close it.

Yeah, the problem with sandbox gameplay is that most people play online games because they like to be able to jump into a structured gameplay style very quickly. It's something you can do for 15 minutes when you're bored. Gmod just doesn't have that.

I wish him good luck, if I could make a living off making my own stuff and putting it on steam then I wouldn't give two shits about anyone complaining about it.
