I had a wildly un-PC mod idea involving suicide bombers...I thought it was probably too dodgy to do.

Have you played my suicidebomber map for cs?

I would like to see a team oriented puzzle mods where people have to cooperate to beat the other team. Maybe you have many players on a side who have to all work together to solve a big physics problem (oh boy...physics, multiplayer, lag oh my). Just to see people trying to communicate and cooperate would be a mess. Doubt it would be a popular thing, just something I'd like to see. Would be interesting from a gamer behavioral study point of view.

Sounds kinda like a tfc mod (i think it was), where players had to work together to get across an obstacle course

After playing FEAR I had an idea for a small singleplayer skirmish mod for it. I really enjoyed the combat in the game, so I thought about making a mod where you had 15-20 different "arenas", basically very small maps with one central chokepoint and varying layout.

Before playing, you'd set up what type(s) of enemies you'd want to fight, how many per squad, what weapons they would have equipped and so on, then you'd select your own weapons and special options such as no slowmo, no health pickups, no grenades etc.

Each map would be designed with AI in mind so that you got the biggest challenge. Since the maps were so small, you could also throw in lots of special effects such as destructible enviroment (to a degree) and so on.

To add even more to it, you could have a points system where you could upload your points per map to a central server. Points would be calculated by what types of enemies you fought, what special options were enabled/disabled, how long you took to kill every enemy and so on. The points could be uploaded to a central server and the mod homepage could have a ranking where you could see who were the best at a specific map.

I don't know if anybody except me would want to play it though, nor do I have the time/energy to learn the FEAR sdk (if there even is one).

i would rly like some mods that is based on swords, bows and magic, where you have something like "DEFEND THE CASTLE" where you need to hold off the other team that will keep getting reinforced in like 20 min or something.

I would def. play that kind of stuff!

Sleepy Hollow like mod would be awesome.

    Horror-based that is.

I had an idea for a small hl2 dm mod where one player's only weapon is antlions, and the goal is to control the antlions for as long as possible. Every other player had every other weapon at their disposal (depending on the map weapon placement) and the goal is to kill the guy with the pheripods so you can get them and control the antlions.

Kind of a Halo Juggernaught style gameplay. I dubbed it Follow the Leader.
