Oh no, not another WW2 mod! But this is different:

    Quote

Ham and Jam is a teamplay orientated, first person WW2 mutliplayer game centred around the British and Commonwealth campaigns from 1939-45. Historically accurate missions coupled with careful balance between realistic and enjoyable gameplay makes Ham and Jam a unique experience.

Ham and Jam started out as an idea between it's two main developers as an alternative to the tired old "U.S./Russia vs. Germany, post June 6th 1944" formulae WW2 games seem to use. Fed-up with everything prior to D-Day being ignored, the North West Europe theatre and the lack of British, Commonwealth and Free Forces they decided to do something about it...

The goal was clear - to make a WW2 mod that featured all the "missing" bits of WW2 history, portray it in a historically accurate way but without detracting from the fun or playability by overdoing realism. In short the kind of game they and their friends would like to play. Rather than a deathmatch gameplay style, Ham and Jam is all about teamwork as were the real battles. Each map is set-out with objectives and as a team you must fight to complete them to win.

Got a lot of positive feedback so far, anyone have anything to add here?

The concept would be even better if german troops wern't involved. How about Italians and/or Romanians as Axis instead? I have never played them in a ww2 game.

Looks like good stuff, and I admit it looks promising for a release with all the media made. But in some aspect, I just kind of shrug and see nothing captivating. I understand you're avoiding the "cliche" aspect of not having German Vs. USA, which is fine. But you just change the teams around to different countries. It's not really an insult at you, or the mod, I sometimes just feel the modding world is composed of DOD and CS gimmicks.

Sorry dude, I know what you're getting at but it's still another ww2 mod :/

It's not the specific factions, uniforms or timeframe involved - it's the setting, era, and technology. Please add giant Nazi robots, I'll be very interested

Anyway you've got good people and a solid start, best of luck.

Keep it looking like your header

(i just went to waldo's site and saw some coughcough pics, i had no idea he was writing a book (a 400+ page one to say the least). i'm totally buying it.) waldo has always impressed me since i saw a hammer shot of radar and a literal clusterfuck field of entities. (movable box ftw)

(edit: whoa waldo is 45 today)

I hate the way you display the images. Hell use popups

Are the models just mockups or are they finished?
