    And there have been distractions. It is said that in the weeks before 9/11 were a number of unusual fire trainings in the tower (again my english isnt good enough to find the correct word).

    When 9/11 occured was the iraq war still far away. From my point of view had the current american government a lot of benefits from the attacks. The main point is increase of power inside and outside. The whole thing polarized and extremized the society. This thread is a good example of how it changed peoples mind to not accept opinions that are against the american government.

    Besides political benefits there is also the possibility that single private persons, organizations or lobbys had a advantage from 9/11. The guy who insurenced the buildings against terrorists attacks shortly before, the guys who made a shitload of suspicious money on the stock market, the guys who possibly robbed a few billions of gold dollars.

    I dont know which of all this stuff is bullshit and what is the truth. From my experience truth is in most cases somewhere in the middle.

    Besides that, how could unskilled, unprofessional and unexperienced pilots (the terrorists) perform such a hard trick ? Yeah I'm no pilot but I can picture it as "very difficult" to hit such a "short" (as in opposed to tall) target without having years and years of experience.

    wolf: becuase the pentagon was not even half as tall, much wider, and was built with a shitton of cement/steel. that building's exterior is composed of balconys, windows, and doors. the pentagon was semi-bombproof

    That's like saying a tank and a Ford Mustand are both made out of steel. Pentagon was made to be a bunker that could withstand missle attacks. The apartment complex was designed so that low income people could have a living room with a decent view.

    When I was sitting home watching my Tv, suddenly the phone called and my friend said that simply world war 3 were rising up, he didn't said about the twin towers he said; Go and watch the TV news you going to see something unbeliable; , and I did turn on the news channel.

    And it was a nightmarish day ever, I dont understand why i even watched it i would feel better if I never knew this tragedy. You need some persistence to not fell in a state of chock when this happends. What do you going to do if world war 3 is coming, dig you a bunker? Not fun at all and I was watching the whole video and i saw the black smoke from the towers pouring out and when this plane smashed into the construction with a initiative force it was awful, people was screaming in downtown and hurried to cover in stores, underground et.c This was horrible... Think about the left oever people that died under the collapsed building.. And all the mad people that jumped out of the windows to the ground? masses of people.. It was a gravely incident in the history and of course we're a part of it becuase we saw it all... Americas enemies is the terrorist right?, but even though if America firmly tries to protect the country why did the 2 planes crashed in the towers without being shooted down with missiles and 1 plane even right down in the corner of pentagon.. I hesitate that america have any good air/land or water defence, If they had this wouldnt happen,

    Well, I think that everyone was in bit of a shock when they first saw that go down.

    I myself was taking a nap and my roommate was watching the news, he put the tv so loud that I woke up and then we saw the first plane crash (obviously being in finland, everything had happened hours ago, but still it was the first time they was showing that in tv here) and we thought that it was joke or something, surreal.

    But after several hours of news feed from the happenings in NYC, it sunk in, one of the biggest disasters just had happened the previous night. And we both knew that it would be a global scale thing, affecting the world politics for the coming decades.

    Really sad when you think about it, event like 9/11 still has long range effect, and a real disaster like the tsunami was just a newsday media event and then forgotten, and to me, the tsunami was way bigger thing than 9/11 ever was and ever will be, and I know that many agree, but still we let bs like this take control of our lifes.

    I dont get it, what does that picture say? Did you see the pictures of streetlights that the plane broke while flying over? If it wasnt a plane, what was it? A 100ft thick missile? And the ppl driving on the freeway saw the plane as well, and all the ppl inside the plane went missing so where are they? Where did the plane go if it didnt hit the Pentagon? Where are the passengers? What did the airtraffic controllers see on their radars? What broke the streetlamps, and how did the plane pieces get inside the Pentagon? 2 planes were caught on camera crashing into buildings,1 hit a field, guess what crashed into the Pentagon.

    Oviously, the CIA built a special missle that contained chunks of an aircraft. They also used their teleporting technology (stolen from the aliens) to switch out the plane and the missle midflight. That way the air traffic controllers didn't notice. Then they killed unleashed a hypnotising beam around the building, fooling people into thinking they saw an aireplane.

    I myself was in 8th grade at the time, in science class. Someone told me that a plane crashed into the WTC, other than that I had no idea what happened. The school refused to let the teachers turn the tv on or even say anything, I didn't know they had fallen down until 9th period. My dad worked in the WTC, he was in 1 Penn Plaza that day for some training.

    No. As far as I know they had never flought real planes before, just simulators. The WTC is easy to hit but the pentagon ? To hit such a short building you need at least landing experience, and if I recall the guy from the flight school said that they never really cared about taking off and landing while training. All they wanted to know was how to keep the plane flying.
