That was not amusing at all, I think that watching that infected me with cancer.

But does metal suck? I think there are alot of good bands, especially in the swedish rock/metal scene.

A load of toss is what that is, Black Metal?! Sounds more like Death-Metal to me, and rather shit at that, like they took a load of Morbid Angel riffs and just totally fucked them up.

    It's also blatently a complete piss-take btw

I met them at a hotel here in Gothenburg once

Rather we use to hang out togheter at the hotel

I don't care much for metal.

Some stuff are good though but overall i just get annoyed.

I am a big fan of hip-hop community and it's complete awsome! Heavy metal just disturbs at a late night before you go and sleep hearing the music from the second room makes me cut it out and isolate me off. Heavy metal can damage your ears at high volume and it can deal later with tinitus.

While a lot of Metal is unbelievably insecure and melodramatic, with only a marginal degree of badly recorded talent. I mean come on, angels fall burning from the sky?

Its cheese factor is easily on par with LARPing.

True but that's sometimes the attraction, you'll never understand if the spark wasn't there is what I say...

I can't believe what I'm reading. People are complete retards, ofcourse there are bad and cheesy bands in metal scene, but name one scene there isn't.

I listen to everything that the world produces, there isn't a single major genre that I don't like or don't have CDs or LPs from. Metal works in moods where metal works, like I'm not inviting my girl here for a candle light dinner and put a King Diamond on the stereos, I put some soft music like jazz or blues. But when I'm at the skate park with my friends we usually blast away with metal or hc punk, not with jazz or r&b.

Besides, I might need to get a frontal lobotomy to understand that "Heavy metal can damage your ears at high volume and it can deal later with tinitus" theory, so you are actually saying that listening any other music maxed out doesn't hurt your ears? Wow, I'm really glad to hear that.

I may sound harsh, but fuck that, I'm mean and evil person anyway.

I think you're being quite justified actually - there is so little point in ripping into a genre of music when people's musical tastes are so entirely personal. I don't enjoy metal myself, but I can see the talent and complexity that a lot of it features.

I'm used to having my music tastes slagged off, considering my favourite band ever is 311, and I mostly listen to ska/pop-punk/emo bands

the funny this is that there are so many different kinds of metal, for instance i dont really like black or death metal, or the theatrical makeup stuff, i think is just ridiculous, but bands like dillenger escape plan or between the buried and me are shaggy2dope
