MOHAA had a nice sparkly ice/frost shader back in 2001, so far the snow looks nice albeit a pumped up version of, say, the mud material in Aztec.

Im very interested in seeing what they've done with Militia. I've had some pretty interesting ideas for a remake of it for Source but never bothered doing it, hope they've done something cool with it

Yeah, I've always liked the Little House on the Prairie style ...hope they don't turn it into a daft urban map or anything...

I think the Main building should be a bank. A cinema next to it, a few eye candy roads as well. Not a fan of the map though. Cheap easy kills for the T's all round.

    What's wrong with it?

Serious question, as I don't play it that much and it seems pretty much like a prettier 1.6.

some of the maps in css kinda lost focus. Superb maps like inferno were destroyed. I hope they dont destroy militia by filling it with billions of props and changing the layout

yes...well put. i used to love inferno, but in CS:s it became to cluttered with too many routes.

    [obvious guy's reiteration]

Makes me realize that in MP deathmatch type games like CS or DoD, improved graphics capabilities are great (like being able to have many more polys and objects etc) but please don't implement them at the cost of great gameplay. [/obvious guy's reiteration]

wow i really like inferno. I had no idea people felt that way. Sure they added lots of props but didn't that make it more lived in and believable. Gameplay changed a bit with the new areas but imho i think it made for better gameplay.

was working on a militia some time back but eventually gave up since work got in the way and I knew that even if I released it, the CS:S one would probably be played a lot more.

A Screw Kalt, I wanna see what they did to my baby Zalec

Sorry, Mojo, Zalec was put in an orphanage with Backalley. Now it hides outside the kitchen door smoking cigarettes all afternoon.
