I'd never rate HL2 90+, considering that it was so short and boring, even on hard.

Only real fun place was Ravenholm and playing B-Ball with dawg.

And that it got released a year late compared to what Valve said, should atleast down it with 20%.

Yeah it doesn't turn out long just because you waste a few minutes in a silly buggy. Nor a boatlike thing.

HL took me WAY more time to complete than HL2, and I played HL on easy and HL2 on hard.

I didn't think HL2 was short or boring at all. Yeah, so perhaps it wasn't as long as HL1, but the relative variety in surroundings and whatnot made up for that. You were constantly seeing new stuff.

HL2 was a fantastic game and far better than many other FPS titles which have done the rounds prior and since. It was never going to match the "wow" factor of HL1 since the latter set the groundwork for an entire subgenre and pretty much defined the principles which HL2 and many other games were built around, but it was still a great achievement and one of the better gaming experiences in my life.

I guess HL2 could be considered short if you flew through it without paying any attention to anything and did it all in a few sittings.

Guys, dont forget HL2 includes CSS, which as a standalone would deserve 90+ ratings. That, and a free copy of steam

I think they're rather opening it up for more small expansions in the future. Which is good news

"Saw it coming"? It was always going to be this way.

The only thing that has changed is the name: 'Aftermath' to 'Episode One', which is dire in my opinion. 'Aftermath' had the right amount of impact.

"Episode One" clarifies that it is episodic, but at the same time, feels wierd as it suggests it is the start of something while really a whole lot too place already. "Aftermath" suggests the opposite - that it is the end - which in my opinion makes it sound anything BUT episodic!

It will be as allways 3 episodes before the halflife3 hits the stores.

HL1 > Hl2 becuase halflife1 scared the shit out of me one day at the job at blackmesa. The best time were 1998 - 2003

I loved the hazard course, i played it over and over again. It was soo fun.
