was this a burn on ritual?

It seems like Ritual likes its fair share of burnings.

I guess that'd depend on whether or not the gameplay is generally any good and/or innovative, Chris -- similarly to how Insurgency will fall flat on its face if it's not fun, despite its professional production values.

Not that I'm saying it will, obviously! It was just a handy example. xD

Looked fun. I think I recognize one of the wall textures at the end from Mayang, specifically this one.

yea we watched the vid at work today, pritty much everyone thought it looked to much like hl2, in all honesty tho insurgency a mod team is creating 100% custom content, why couldnt ritual?

Difference may be that Insurgency content is all produced for free (except the motion capturing). You dont know the budget of Sin Episodes. As a company they must pay for every little piece of art. This can be expensive for a small company with the grade of detail that modern games have.

ROFL when the guy is on fire, he screams "fire! fire!"

i dont know about you guys, but if i were on fire, i would be screaming my ass off and running around trying to put it out.

I've never been on fire so I don't know what I'd do.

For future reference, when making a gameplay vid, don't play on super easy.

I love it when they play on super duper no need to aim at the bad guy one shot kills all like a nuclear missile easy mode. Then almost get owned by one npc.

It looked fun, but like many people have already pointed out I can make al arge list of noticeable content from Half-Life 2 which kinda gegrades the feel for it a wee bit. But it looks fun, and that's all I need.

All the car skins I've seen in that game look terrible...
