You have to create a little Engi bot thing and get it to convert the Satellite dish to green, then you select the dish and aim it at the dish on the other island.

Yeah. Any Engineer near the red blinking control spot will go over to it and sort it out for you. When it turns to blinking yellow, then it's yours. Just select the satellite dish to bring up an aiming cursor, link it with the satellite on the nearby island and hey presto, a white beam will flow between them.

Then just order your squad into the satellite and kick arse.

Played through the demo and quite enjoyed it, but not enough so as to make me want to buy it. I've a fairly strong feeling it would get boring quite fast, and I was getting a little bored towards the end of the demo.

Quick question - do the generator things on the centre island (around the rocket) bring units back to life or something? I never actually SAW it happening, but I kept seeming to notice more of my units and enemy units around them when I came back to that island after looking elsewhere for a while. I'm not talking about the incubators by the way.

Those things around the rocket ARE incubators, only ones that don't require souls to work.

If you've captured them, they spew out a certain out of your green guys until the population limit is reached. If you don't capture them, then it's the same thing but little red virus guys.

Skjalg, how is the bot dying? You have used your squad to eliminate any virii on the island, right?

Ah ok, did they tell you that in the demo, as I never noticed? I must have had an engineer capture one accidentally as one was definately seeming to pump out new green guys while I was away bringing in reinforcements from my regular incubators. Damn engineers kept taking souls back to the FIRST incubator as it was closest in straight line distance from most of the souls - took ages to trek them around as reinforcements!

Yeah it tells you at some point what they do and how to capture them, which is with an Officer leading the plebs, not an Engineer.

Press space to deselect anything else, then just click on the dish?

I've only played a bit of the demo, but it does seem pretty hot. The main thing that stood out was the control system -- it felt really intuitive. The way the camera follows your mouse in unison with the cursor/wasd key movement is fantastic, and I love how you control your guys. It could have so easily turned out horribly, but instead it's the kind of thing I want to see in more RTS games. D:

    Innovation. Serious business.

    Finished it,

After the demo I was a bit worried that all levels would look to mutch the same, but they have some nice settings/locations what kept it pretty interesting.

Hmm everything is pretty well explained, every time I select anything I get this explanation how it works and you can always press h for help :)

Took a look at the leveleditor but it doesn't use the same movement controls I could not rotate around, wonder if it was a bug :)
