school project: Buddhist art... kinda

    Inspired by buddhist thangka paintings...

    All done in illustrator.. layer effects/background added in photoshop

    i dont like how the blue is the emphasis and makes me look past the subject of the painting to a circle of blue.

    I really like it but I'm really not into the outright mirroring of the left/right elements.

    wow k nevermind, i just got to see the bigger picture (it didn't load at first for some reason) and the blue doesn't kill as much. Very nice indeed

    I think the best thing about this piece is the deliberate perspective on the two pillars on the left and the right, and more subtly in the altarpiece itself and the other verticals.

    They impart a real sense of perspective and *eminence* to the entire piece which works very well. Without that I think it would feel very flat, static and plastic.

    You know how to use illustrator. I'm so jealous; I love vector art with a passion so there is no way that I can't like this piece. gj.

    I like it in general, but i don't like how some parts are obviously handpainted and other parts are photos turned into the same style. It itches for some reason. Other than that it looks nice and it's pretty close to those paintings as well
