it ran okayish for me when i had everything full at 1600x1200, which is good considering i have 512 mb of ram, a 6600, and a 3 ghz processor.

the game looked absolutely amazing, the guys face was really cool and it was just a great looking scene. the shader works perfectly and i really like the effect. the commentary was really neat too. as for it being a level it wasn't much there, there are like 2 ambush scenes that were difficult and then the rest was ridiculously easy because of the rocket launcher.

i experienced some strange bug from the get go where i couldn't get hurt by enemies so i had a lot of exploring time. i wish they did a little more as to the launcher thing, it needed to be a more dramatic impact on that village and a little bigger effect from the firing, it looked dumb to have the shell go into the village and just disappear behind a house. for primarily being a tech demo it looked great and showed off the technology well

i dont know what some of you are complaining about.

it was a free demo to show off some new things they had been working on

hard. did i mention it was free? whats 300 MB? you can just delete it if

its too good for you anyway.

Resolution and settings on there highest

layed on hard and watched been looking at leveldesign and the budget screen so it took me 20 minutes to complete it.

Going to play it again for the commentary now.

The combine gun was a bit disapointing, wel I didn't really see it, only the ammo load elevator

    *edit*

Been looking in wireframe at the map, the biggest part are models and the top building is a model until you get close.

    my comp spec:

    p4 3600MHz

    GF 78000GTX 256MB

    2GB dual DDR ram

I think it SHOULD be able to run on my comp.. but apparently not.

Yeah, mine's significantly lesser and runs it reasonably well. The only thing that'd really spring to mind is outdated drivers -- a very recent if not the most recent Nvidia driverset fixed a number of compatabilities with Source's HDR. The driverset was tailored towards DOD:S, but I expect that it covers TLC too.

    You've probably got it, though.

It was far more than i expected from a 'tech demo'. Very nice leveldesign, i loved it. (including water shader)

Yeah, but they really have to do something about the 'flat' appearance water has... it's mainly because of the edges, I guess, but look at that shot above... the sharp angle of the water on the left really sticks out like a sore thumb in an otherwise really good-looking hyper-real setting.
