How 'bout staying ontopic?

i think we all declared its not worth buying and isn't too great
anyway i agree with ferret, raviollis owns!!
-
i think whether its worth buying or not remains to be seen. and nobody knows how much they will charge.
-
On-topic, people who doubt Manke's ability to make stunning levels can sling their hook, but the lack of custom content is worrying.
I mean, subverting the default content made They Hunger fun, but that was because it was free. Slapping a few reskins in and then charging for the spectacle isn't particularly appealing.

Guys please keep this stuff in EOT and not litter this thread.
Rigatoni !!!!

Nice one, can't wait to try this... amusing to see the new Mossman skin, sehr gut!

-
If they would just not pump it up so much then it actually seems like an ok mod to me.
-
I don't imagine, with a commercial product, you can really just say something like "We're making this alright mod, not much major new content or anything, but it should be cool"

-
Neil Manke:
Quote"Next generation game engines are so complex and detailed that we would never be able to invest so much time and resources for such an ambitious project any other way. Right now we are still working out the pricing and distribution options, but our goal is a low cost alternative so it can be available for just a fraction of other commercial games."

People will complain regardless of the price. People all over the place were complaining when PGR2 on the Xbox got "premium downloadable content", and it was only £3 for a new city and 8 new cars for god's sake. It was the same over at the snarkpit (and I'm sure other places) with Ragdoll Kung Fu; despite it's low price point people were calling it a rip off. I imagine this will go for a similar price (about £10?), but perhaps since this is less of a novelty title people won't se it as a bad deal. Then again, at least Ragdoll Kung Fu didn't use HL2 resources

Neil Manke:

The point is that they actually are gonna get us to pay to buy like 3 custom models, hell I'd rather buy a few old fun games then.

I do no think it is as bad as many people say here. I rather consider it as a good thing that you can begin to earn money on mod making. Of course mods should not be sold for 50-60$, but I am pretty sure they know that.
I like the idea of that many more mods should be sold, at least just for 10$ or so. I am pretty sure that there is a market for cheap games which are maybe not 100% new but still offer some fun.
-
I was more thinking somewhere under 5$

Hey if I could I would sell my sp for 1$ but I think its a bit to crappy for that

-
FTW!!!

So, it was everybodys fauvorite mod but the second they ask for some money from their work everybody knows it's gonna be bullshit?

Those are the cynics, yes. [Blocked Image: https://migrationtest.mapcore.org/public/style_emoticons/default/mapcore_smilies/emot_shakehead.gif]
...
Not me. I'll pay.

-
Actually I hated they hunger mods before they cost money.
This just makes my hatred both funny and warranted.
-
Well, I guess there's no argueing about taste...
But I'd sure be willing to pay for this mod.

I can't really explain where this... hunger comes from...
Whyyy do I hungerrrr?
