Incoming Source has been in the making for a little bit over a month. Originally developed on the Half-Life 1 engine and later moved and re-created on the Source engine. Incoming Source focuses on epic combat. Containing large open and varied maps, both drivable vehicles (with usable turrets) along with flyable vehicles. There will be 16 new weapons along with plenty of other features including iron sights for tactical aiming. In celebration of all of the work that has been completed within the past month, we are re-launching the website with a brand new layout along with new media and a new forum. Incoming Source's team is already large and very talented, but we can still use some more talent.

    Positions Still Available:

Incoming Source has made plenty of progress. We have a working tech demo including gameplay modes along with other features accompanied by 4 weapons currently ingame. We have currently have 11 maps on the Source engine being updated with new map models along with custom designed textures. Visit the brand new website for a complete listing of progress from this past week along with some of the new media.

With the new website launch we also have something for our fans every Friday. There will be a weekly update containing at least two images and one video usually relating to the images. Visit the site this Friday for our first (of many) Weekly Updates showing off one of our new, completed maps. The weekly updates will be accompanied by journal logs containing each bit of progress that was completed during that week.

We have had a great time thus far on developing this game. We cannot wait for the upcoming weekly updates to show you all of the media we have. Visit us on IRC at:

And be sure to make a visit on friday for the first weekly update.

    too dependent on halo's concept.

Too dependant on directly stealing stuff from Halo, more like. There's a difference between taking a "token of appreciation" from a game, and ripping it off.

http://www.incoming-source.net/media_co ... an_new.jpg that is the master chief.

    http://img47.imageshack.us/my.php?image=altair26qu.jpg that is an elite.

I highly suggest you read the story on:

    http://www.incoming-source.net/about.php

and then grab that altair image and an elite, and compare them and realize they are nothing alike.

    Trojan does resemble Master Chief?

    Yes.

Masterchief also resembles the Doom armor, the Quake armor.. and their dropship resembles the Aliens one?

    What is your point?

Halo was a rip off as well, and we are not even to that large of an extent.

Please read up before making silly posts.

Uh, so you basically admit the post's accusation is true and then call it a "silly post"? Not trying to derail, but hey. Some of those renders are nice, but it just looks a bit too familiar for my tastes (and yes, you can see the irony considering the mod I work on ), I've seen enough m4s and mp5s for a lifetime. Some new and original weapons would be a great boon. I think 90% of mods seem to have the same weapons, and it bores people to see it, no matter how well executed.

No, it just bugs me when all of their accusations are answered on the website.

Same goes for yours, there is a new weapon concept for the future-based concepts of weapons.

Which will be explained further actually very soon.

It's what most people typically do. It doesn't make me angry.

It upsets me that they don't make themselves familiar with the history of the game or read the website, since alot of information is their that could help them understand what we are making them.

On the very first page, it says we started on August 25, 2000.

    Halo 1 was only announced.

    Halo 1 was not released.

Halo 2 had not begun development.

Keep that in mind as well.

Halo also shares the same suit as in Doom and along with Quake. It's armor. Simple as that guys.

And I admit to it being my fault for leaving the green armor one up, so I took the responsibility to upload this:

Anyways, if you have any more questions, feel free to post here, or read the site at:

Hmmm i worked on this mod when they were doing it for HL1. Dave, did you ever hear back from Talis? Good luck with the mod.

For the others, once again a reminder that classifieds forum is for classifieds ads and respective respones not for telling projects how what they are doing is all wrong.

Such a stupid comments in classifieds forum.. again. Like this post is kinda too but if you guys are not interested maybe you should just shut the *uck up?

Nice renders there, looks very promising. I don't have much spare time nowadays so can't help as a mapper, but good luck anyway!
