    Spoiler In China, people believe some dragons are lords of streams and storms...


    ||| 2024 Shanghai Major featured map, with mapcore's mapping contest 2024 Word "Panlong" stands for loong( Chinese dragon )'s twirling, which is right happening over and across the map. There won't be more thrilling adventures than having battles below a dragon( just a statue though ), especially in such a fierce weather of storm.

    In this map, you'll pace into a tourist attraction with its outlook of Chinese cultural tradition, and explore a map design which really differs from our counter-strike tradition —— the key is the elevator. A huge moving platform acts as a connector of A/B sites, as well as a lock of a secret path. With three types of altitude to choose, two buttons to control, four directions to manage, we believe around the elevator, you'll experience unique tactics, achievements and fun, just similar to those soul-like games.

    Wish you a nice journey and a big adventure in Panlong. See you then!

    I see you are progressing each day. I really hope the statues you are making for the map will be kind-a destroyed here and there. Would be a cool effect together with floodlights! I've made an 18.04.24 small showcase video! Hope it boosts motivation!

    Thanks for you video!( I'm so surprised about someone making showcase for my map) And your advice is really helpful that I think a "here and there" statue works better in connecting the whole concept of the playable area.

    Hello everyone, after my birthday celebration on 4.20, I have greatly polished cloud and rain particles so that FPS on the ground has been improved by 30~40%. I also adjusted positions of the cloud particles, and now the sky looks rather smooth and lightnings are obvious enough.

    PS: I changed layout of the map, too, and I really need your advice on competitive balance of it → I NEED YOUR REPLIES !!!

    The legendary Shanghai symbol has been added into 3DSkybox, and I also improved the fog performance, which can be finally enjoyed by most PCs.

    HELP!!!!

    Molotovs are not throwable in my map and I completely don't know why just molotov happens so.

    I need your help !!!!😰

    It's not just molotov. All the grenades seems like they hit something immediately after you throw them. Maybe some of the environmental effects you're using — I'm not very familiar with the engine. Try disabling them and see if it changes anything.

    The directional sound from the rain is fine when you're outside in the rain, but when you're inside it sounds really bad — especially when you're in the tunnel at spawn and turn sideways. Maybe try with different headphones to see for yourself.

    I don't know if you've noticed that in some parts of the water in middle you are slowed down. Maybe it's too deep, maybe that's how you want it, but it annoyed me.

    I think it's okay to have crouch sections but not so much in places where you're gonna be fighting a lot. Maybe think about raising the ceilings of some of the vents. There's generally a lot of jumping and crouching and snake paths that you have to do to navigate the map and people might find that annoying, but you have to playtest it to find out.

    The theme is epic. I like how you enter the map by dropping down and I like the big open bombsite with the statue. The middle portion of the map feels a bit claustrophobic to me, but I've only tested it on my own.
