Today I was working on my monument valley butte, and finally gave it the eroded rocky feeling that those things are famous for

Didn't wanted to create a clone, so probably they won't match very well.

    That's just awesome.

Out of curiosity, how long did that take to model-skin?

The most extremely detailed models ever!

no they took about 30 minutes for both total to textures and crap. just small but important props in something I'm working on for source. The railing will have a breakable surf in the rectangle left open in the render.

my little model? Most of the work was done in a week or so, and the important touches were done today. It's a matter of using the tools properly, I didn't modeled all the little details one by one.

Another angle, this looks better I think

My first crappy model... made in XSI Mod Tool. At least I started to learn how to use the damn thing now. Actually, I feel more comfortable using this than I did with Blender. Oh and don't miss the crappy texture I did for it too! Hopefully I'll stick to it and get better.

The ingame shot is from my (cancelled) 2004 mod for Duke3D. (About the weapon if anyone is wondering... it's from TS and I reskinned the hand and just placed it in there for fun)

Edit; Tweaked the top of the skin.

you can shave a couple faces by moving the verts on the top of the cylinder and welding them with one of the side ones.

Not sure where I should post this but I'll post it here anyways.

I made a 2d sky and a dome model with a moving clouds texture for my dm_ map. It looks awesome ingame

I decided to try again at something different. This is either a stool, or those really small bar tables... or something. Maybe the pole in the middle is too think but I think this is tons better than my first. I'm mainly posting this to get any suggestions how I can improve on my skins on later creations...or anything else that could help.
