Thanks for the comments seir, however the light is the only thing I changed, as the vent is from a ref pic, and I've added some ghetto methods of attaching it onto the railing to give it some character, I like it like that and it is accurate to my reference, so it stays

The ladder style I have not decided on, the way I was going to do it doesn't make a lot of sense for such a low roof, but I will see what happens.
Going to add in another lower part of the roof and have some steps getting up to this part.
This is the other side by the way (with some additions, like the light moved etc), the final render will be in video form with a slow 360 around the whole thing.

looking nice rick ^_^! i would suggest changing the vent like seir posted. That way would look more natural.

hmm the weird thing is the vent pipe near branch. it is "cheaper" to made something like this:

If you want I can send you some info/measurements about placing human on constructions and near doors, branches, lights, light switches etc.

Maybe if they built the vent before the rails, but not if they built the vent after the rails.
Anyway, Zete, I just throw in a skylight on default settings, put in an Omni with a blue tint at full intensity, and turn shadows on with this Omni. Then put in another Omni at another angle and set the colour to orange and half intensity. Then render with Light Tracer set.
As for the material:

I turned specular to 0, and glossiness to 10.

Good changes, but I'm not sure that wall-vagina thing works too well
I imagine it would come across a whole lot better when textured, but right now it isn't very convincing as damage to me. Also, given the overall detail I feel that the pipe thing on the left should have more polys given to it's curved sections. Nice work though man

Working on this character rig. Other arm, head and extra detail still missing. It's fully rigged and I'll animate it next week when I'm done with the basic rig.
