    Mind sharing what your render set-up was like? V-Ray, Mental Ray, Scanline? 3-Point Lighting? Light decay? etc. . . I can't really think what to critique as it looks fantastic? Is that purely high-poly modeling or did you also use normals say for the hood? I think the one thing I might ask for a break-down photo of is the wheel as that looks FANTASTIC!

    I'm using Mental Ray with sky portals (1 warm, 1 cold and 1 background light- so yeah, 3 point lighting). I didn't used any normals so far, so the pattern on the hood is geometry as well. For the wheels, I made a single part of the treads first and copied it and used a bend modifier on top of it. I just made a small screen with the wireframe model (without turbosmooth) where you can see the single part of the treads on the right side.

    Did this tonight. Felt like sharing. I think I will unwrap and texture it. Maybe give it some nice maps for wear and tear. Been on a pokemon kick for the past 2 weeks. Go figure.

    After starting to work on my "halloween scene" i just grew up of shit in zbrush, and sculpting for now. There was a time i wanted to work with some hardsurface, and i realised i've never created a gun. So i've started to model a USP tactical ver. one of my fav guns. This is my first gun ever and i must say first hardsurface (that complex) model ever. I know i have some wires done wrong , and i need to tweak some geo. this is still a heavy WIP i need to creat aiming system, and i want to add a silencer, and/or laser aiming system, there is no mag atm so i need to model that also. The carvings are temporary. Does anybody know is there a place i can find fonts that are used on guns? it's fucking annoying to model all the letters lol. Anyways i had a blast and still have doing this and i'm really thinking to move only to guns and weapons lol, this is fun, so what you guys think at this point ? this is straight up maya renderer.

    Final version looks good kanine. Only thing that bothers me is that you modeled nearly every detail geometry from the highpoly in the lowpoly as well, just like those small bolts on the iron sight. You spent quite mich polys in those tiny parts and leave larger parts like the back of the shoulder rest a little to blocky- but that's only my opinion.


    Anyway, more modular parts for my vehicle.

    Ran out of time to do a proper unwrap of the base of the seat frames so that texture is stretched. Materials definition could use some work I think as well. But in the format it went into it looks good so I'm not exactly ticked about it either. I plan on fixing it up and adding onto the scene to make it a full commercial aircraft interior sometime soon.

    Any chance to see the diffuse Kanine? I just have the feel that you rely alot on shaders and very hi-res textures (2k texture on small object like that is very hi-res to me).

    Hm true, 2k² is quite large. But this time you have some more details from your highpoly bake then you usually had compared to your weapons- like it
