I might be crazy, but when I studied to become a graphic designer I was in the school from 8:00 to 22:00 (that is 8:00am to 10:00pm) every day except fridays. Can you stay at the school after class is over? I wouldn't mind to do some 6hour modelling sessions

Yes of course, you can be there from 8.30 - 22.00 and fridays to 18.00 if I remember correctly.

Of course you need these "study points" and these can be archieved with some extra projects outside official school time.

I find it so strange when I hear of people having to be in for so long. I typically spend about 2 hours a day in uni, sometimes less. Obviously we are expected to be in there more for doing our own work, but most people prefer to go home and use their own PC's. We used to have 24hr lab access which was handy for working on things we couldn't do at home (eg. PS2 programming), but I think they cut that down and we now get kicked out at around 10pm or something in general. Been a while since I bothered staying that late though so I couldn't say for sure.

If I could be 24/7 in a school like yours, I'd use that privelage to the max, I'm just crazy that way. There is not enough school for me, when in vocational school (is that right?) I tried to get to a program where I could do the regular vocational shool and high school (lukio?) at the same time, but I couldn't get in for reasons utterly insane.

Im kind of confused about the requirements for the school.

Do they want people with a lot of 3d modelling experience or beginners with interest to 3d stuff?

and btw skdr what was your grade average (keskiarvo) when you applied for the school?

They don't really require any 3d experience. The main thing here is, that you understand what 3d means and how you can creater your own stuff in 3d dimensions...

Everyone can apply. Everyone starts from the same line so you can be total noob or experienced pro, you still start from the basics.

So no requirements. You need to be interested and dedicated so they'll see that you might be a good student for the school...

Grade average from senior high school? It doesnt matter at all. They don't look that stuff. If you're good for the school, they'll choose you. If your grades are bad from past schools, they don't really care. The main thing is that you should be interested and willing to learn this new stuff.

Yeah I was kind of hoping that grades wouldn´t matter since my school isn´t going that great at the moment
