    Hi everyone.

I am currently working on a Counter-Strike Source map called de_corse. Right now I was detailing some parts of the church in this level. Here are some screenshots.

    [Blocked Image: http://home.arcor.de/der_hessliche/_corse0023.jpg]

This fullbright green tree is not final an will be dropped / replaced soon. The style of the hallway will be used for a garden in the back of the church. statues and more plants are planed.

    Enjoy!

Bluestrike, I use only custom content. There are only 2 models a friend of mine did for this map. All other content is the result of my work. This is why I am still working on this map. I started the project 3 months ago.

von*ferret, I made the arches this day. The textures are not always _painted_. I use a lot of my photos in my personal image database(8GB of highres images). SAMPLES CLICK

The arches are textured with photos I made this summer and modeled in maya and exported as a combined geometry(all arches in one model).

Nice map m8. The only thing I don't really like is the skybox, I think it looks sort of boring.

Gorgeous. Eager to see where you take this.

Would love to see that third shot either in a really intense/directional afternoon sun or in a nice colorful sunrise/sunset with some modern accent lights added here and there. But maybe that's just me.

I'm sorry to sound negative, especially after reading all this positive feedback, but this really doesn't appeal to me much just yet. Honestly I thought these were all standard resources from some of the newer CS:S maps - before I read the other comments my feedback was going to be "looks like source". Would hardly be the first map earning such a comment...in fact it almost has to be particularly stand out NOT to

From these shots, I'm seeing a nice window, and a nice doorway, one of which doesn't line up properly with your wall and both of which appear to be differently scaled versions of the same model. Of course nothing is wrong with the latter of the two "issues", but the fact they are placed right next to each other made it stand out quite obviously to me. You clearly have modelling skills so I'd say it would be nice to make unique models for each of these - even if its just a taller set of legs for the doorway arch, it would mean the widths of the arch pieces match up and the scaling factor is no longer the only difference.

Like the others I think the greenery is working in your favour here and you should push the overgrown setting to set yourself apart from the crowd. The map certainly has potential and I'm keen to see what you do with it, but I guess its important to hear some critical feedback amongst the praise, no?

Well I try Honesty is the best policy though - I hope my admittedly critical but 100% sincere comments were of somewhat more use than "looks awesome".
