If gays want to be married they should be able to wed, but permitting them to adopt children goes too far in my opinion (something like this isn't even in sight in the conservative US but is an issue in Europe).
Who the hell cares if they adopt? Jesus. Treat them like normal people. What they do in the privacy of their bedrooms has no reflection on how they raise a child, own a house, or cook a pie.
When men want to wed, fine, their decision, but if they adopt a child, a 3rd person who isn't asked whether it wants to have gay parents or not is involved and then it isn't only the gay couple's business anymore.
Would you like to have 2 daddies postman instead of 1 daddy and 1 mom? I wouldn't, thinking of kids picking on me in school because of having gay parents. Kids and many more "mature" people in society can be assholes and that's why I think children should have hetero parents. Although I must admit, that many gay couples would probably be better parents than some hetero ones...

I believe if someone can't produce a baby naturally they shouldn't have one. This includes women - men couples. If someone requires artificial incemination (spelling?) I don't believe they should have a baby. It breaks the cycle of natural selection (Darwins). Retarded people are meant to naturally be removed from our gene pool and should. The same goes for two women or two men, if they can't form a baby naturally, well then they shouldn't have one. Harsh points, but very valid!

DD, I agree with part of your points, I do think that blind, deaf, retarded, and otherwise crippled people shouldn't be allowed to breed, but if someone wants to adopt, and raise a child in a loving home, what's the problem? Hell, I wish I had a dad growing up. Divorced, happily married, gay, etc we all come out into the world a mess of emotional baggage and strange habits so why does it really matter?

RD: Fact is, that gay couples are non-accepted persons in our society these days and thus their kids would have a hard time as well. Of course in the end it's the person's fault who treats gay people and their children badly but it's easier not to give gay people children than protecting kids 24/7 from bullies.
what about fat/black/ugly/skinny/poor parents etc? Their kids will get bullied just the same.
also i understand u want the kid to have a perfect childhood, but even if he does get bullied he will have a better life than 99% of our planet cuz he will live in the richest country.
