    Recieved letter today. It said:

You got 87 points out of 90.

Nice, 3 points and I've could made it

Anyway, the paper shared some more information too. There were 782 applicants in total. I made to the entry tests so that's a archievement for me already. They chose 25 new students to that school this year...

    I'll try again next year.

    O man that's gotta hurt.

What do they judge it on?

Well 90 points was the "minimum" for the entry.

There were pre-assigments before applying to the school. They judged them and chose about ~50 applicants to the entry tests.

There were drawing assigments and I did pretty well considering I suck at drawing... There was also interview and stuff.

    Too bad.

Oh, for a second I thought you needed 100% there to get in!

Bad luck, amigo, but chin up. The skdr is a creature destined for professional artistic work.

damn i was hoping you would get in. sorry to hear, buddy. what are you doing until next year? If there is anything available in your area i would suggest going to life drawing classes and just draw a lot lot lot lot in your free time.

I'm starting a job in graphic design company while taking lessons for print software from Adobe and Macromedia... It's like "learn and do what you've learned" lesson

HEHE! I got the letter too, and it said something like place in line - didn't get invite to entrance examination, nice way for EVTEK to turn the knife in the wound

But I'm sorry you didn't get in, and I guess we we'll be both trying in next year too, so make sure to practice hard since I sure will be.

the fact that you didnt get in means you're destined for something greater.

Whoa, yeah, I interpretted that as a 'you need 100% to get in'.

Good luck next year... we all know the people at Mapcore who actually make maps and work with current engines in their spare time probably have more motivation and a better drive than 'theoreticals'.
