You need more contrast in the pics. The "white" is a grey in most of your pics. And they are too large for my screen resolution.

People are too afraid of color.

Id say grayscale doesnt work for many cases. It didnt here. These pics would look kickass if they had strong contrast and colors imo.

Yea what about posting coloured versions of the photos? The gray isn't so appealing

Interesting texture shots... maybe try playing with the levels and curves in photoshop to gain the better contrast.

Greyscale pictures are ones that only consist of greys (ie. don't feature colour). Many people refer to them as "black and white" pictures. The contrast in a picture is the strength of difference between its bright and dark areas. Highly contrasting pictures will have colours (or shades of grey) that stand out from each other, and this normally makes the picture more interesting and "alive" I guess. I'm not photographer, but I think those are reasonable explanations.
