Is it just me, or did the rest of you also kinda notice that Alyx Vance has something Asian over her features? The eyes in particular...

Realising who did her voice (http://%7boption%7d ) I wonder if that is a coincidence?

"Merle Dandridge was born in Okinawa, Japan to a mother of Korean and Japanese descent and a Memphis-bred African American father."

Hmmm exactly what I thought when I saw her.

Lots of the characters in HL2 were modelled after the voice actors too.. there's a bunch of comparison photos in that HL2 book you could/can buy. Valve clearly have some kind of fetish with giving their characters more depth, even if 99% of people will never know.

Max Payne has been modelled after real people too, in the first one Sam Lake (Sami Järvi) the writer of Max Payne, and second one after Timothy Gibbs since they were "in the money" so they could hire a real actor to pose as the charater and do the comicbook cutscenes.

The strangest part is that, why they didn't model Max after James McCaffrey who just looks too badass, and has actually played several quite similar roles.

When are we gonna get a game with Sam Elliott and his massive moustache? He has always been a hero of mine!

    I'd always thought Mel Gibson...

Oh and yes, all this is in 'Raising the Bar' - Valve had one physical model and one voice actor.

    Gibson, Mel

Yeah he would have been awesome too, especially the golden age Mel since the wrinkles he has now (some say they hide Nazi gold in them ) would not be so Max Payne.

We just definitely need less Vin Diesel in games. Period. and Paris Hilton. What the hell is she doing strutting around with an empty XBox bag at E3?
