I have now tried BF2 a few times I don't think it is that good. It was ok fun, but got boring after a little hour. Maybe it's just the dissapointment over that what they have done in BF2 is what we are working on in SoW2:/ I bet they have stolen our dd.

The graphics look ok and it also runs fine on my system. The should not support a GF5600, but my bro got that and he runs the game fine too. None of us have installed the latest drivers nor the special ones which followed the game:)

Who cares about the graphics, BF2 rocks for fast action when taking a break from leveling in WoW, it's not NS but NS is for longer play perioids anyway.

BF2 is only funny when you're not playing with morons. And that's rare on the public servers.

BF2 is the bee's knees fo shizzle. First game in 6 months to tear me away from WoW (thank god) All the new squad and commander stuff is awesome, being part of squad SABOTAGE, and spawning ontop of your leader hidden in the enemy base and tosing C4 left and right is quite a rush. All the fun of 1942 and DC, with just a little bit extra zest. Nothing revolutionary, but why fix something thats not broken.

Every word rings true!! I agree ;>

Battlefield 2 is just a genuinely fun game, in a way that I have honestly not experienced in a long time. It's the type of game that I can play with everything turned to low and it looking like shit, and still really enjoy it despite the crap visuals, purely because it is so goddamned fun. I'd imagine that many people think the same, and I really cannot see how anybody can't enjoy this game without having some kind of unrelated grudge against it.

Best game in ages. Can't wait to buy the full version. Here's hoping for Battlefield 3, continuing the logical progression into the near future -- think C&C: Generals. ;D

Am I the only one who can't join a server?

Did you try changing the connection type? What exactly happens when you try joining a game??

Picked up a copy today and man oh man... it is a lot of fun, though not as emersive as bf1942. In example, theres no subs, or battle ships. And only 2 kinds of helicopter and only 2 kinds of planes. Then all the ground vechiles which are alot of fun, but nothing thats really missing from the demo. But even though, nothing beats sitting gunner on a black-hawk and gunning down infantry crossing the bridge. hehehehe

I think I'll wait for the price to drop... no point in paying 50 euros for a couple of new maps.

The demo was not nesesarry, Dice should follow the Valve method and release the game first, the demo was not amazing.

Uh, the demo is probably what has guaranteed BF2's general success, managing to impress almost everybody who's played it, including those who disliked the previous Battlefield games and would almost certainly have never bothered trying it out otherwise. Its popularity is pretty clear due to it managing to equal HL2's global online player count at times, and it getting rave ratings everywhere.

Exactly. I never played the original. But now I have played the BF2 demo and love it. Definitely gonna buy the full version.
