I'm fairly sure they have only said they are interested in the idea and have had talks with numerous parties about making it, but nobody has so far come up with a decent script and until somebody does, its not going to happen.

even if they do manage to make a script which will no doubt blow,

it takes time to ake a movie, eso a sci-fi one like half-life

There was actually once made a short Half-Life movie called Half-Life: Uplink(no, it had nothing to do with the demo).

Yep ReNo, that is also what I have heard.

A half life 1 movie would be boring, you spend half the game in a vent and 9/10 of the game alone.

I don't think there's HL movie coming in the near future. I don't even think a TFC 2 is coming in the near future, even the Lost Coast stuff is delayed... :roll:

This kind of movies will always suck cuz they want to please everyone except the fans. They always modify the story to make it more friendly and welcoming to people who had never played the game. Look at the resident evil movies, they dont have half the atmosphere and tension the games had. Instead of going for a complex and rich story (like the games did) they went for a special-effects driven movie cuz that would make more money.

Olduvai gorge is a place in the great rift valley in Eastern Africa. Tanzania and Kenya to be specific. Can't remember which though... It is where the fearless maasai warriors live, who hunt lions for sport. With spears, a single spear and nothing else. Nothing.
