If your short of skill, practice, if your short of inspiration, copy and tweak, but simply stealing the acclaim for something you played no hand in creating is low.Now the question that matters - do we allow the authors of the stolen maps to jump on this guy, or do we pile on straight away?

It's not imitation though, he just found a bunch of screenshots of impressive maps, then passed them off as his own to impress his forum-buddies. I would say that's pretty close to stealing, which is not very flattering at all.
