I watched it earlier, and it does indeed look extremely awesome. I wonder if there will be any "goal" of the game, or if you can continue evolving for as long as you want.
I just can't get my head round this 'procedural' stuff, it's utterly amazing.
Oh dear, that's awesome!
already thinkin of creatures to make~

sometimes with this site there is no need to register/login; you click a direct link, it loads but then takes you to the main page, if you click back, the video page *should* show
however, this doesn't work with thriks link, but worked with an alternative one i got earlier ![]()
try my tip with this : http://www.pqhp.com/cmp/gdctv/aa16-wrig ... php?bw=300 (yes, it is different from thriks)
wow that's what I call a god game! wright kinda owns molyneux
but this should be totaly online, just like a mmorpg! just downloading other player's stuff and letting the a.i. lead it would not be as funny as having each player having his own culture in a huge internet galaxy.

OH MY FUCKING GOD!!!!!!!!
Absolutely amazing!!!
Aye, been looking forward to it ever since I first heard of it~
Yea, I'm pretty sure someone posted a link to a preview on this over at GameSpy. Sure it sounded great reading it, but seeing it is a different story.......still amazed.
The game is supposedly slated to release late 2006, so I'd imagine that the game will progress a hell of a lot from what we've seen tonight. More advanced visuals is probably an obvious one, but I imagine that they'll increase the amount of stuff you can just generally do and build considerably.
I really can't wait.

One of the first things he said is that the graphics are in a rather basic state.
Not to mention his concept is more about the process than how it looks.
And it is GDC where all developers are watching, so there was not much of an effort to make it look good because they care more about the general idea.
Spore looks cool but I still don´t see what´s the point in the game.
Evolving a single creature doesn´t really blow my mind ![]()
