we have implemented a number of things independantly of valve, including a more versatile particle system, more versatile lighting code, as well as cloth and enhanced physics on character models.
Yeah yeah, call it "enhanced physics on character models" all you want, I still call it Bouncity Boobege.

well, hl2 wont have cloth. But our game will have lots of flowing capes and swooshing hair and that sort of clothy goodness.
