Today, i was at target and they were selling UT04 for $10, but i didnt buy it because i didnt know when the new ut would come out. looks like im going to wait for this.

i hope a 6800 gt can handle it if not, ill have to hook up my 5600 and run them in SLI

    Yum graphics.

Glad they're harking back to the original UT gameplay somewhat; UT2003/4 paled in comparison.

Pure sex! I do however think that UT2k4 is a really great game, just as the original UT.

Looks pretty damn kickass to me.

Seems like they got a nice way of solving the roadtexture "merging" to the ground as well

saw some mag scans of those pics a while ago, but yeah, looks nice. I'd just rather want a new unreal singleplayer game that had the feel of the original and not the lame sequel. But Im sure they're working on something like that as well

Seriously, I've lost count of how many have licensed out the Unreal 3 Engine for a FPS. One of them has to be a proper Unreal 3.

I'm really looking forward to this. UT2K4 was a decent game but at the time I didn't have a net connection and so it kinda fell by the wayside. Hopefully I won't miss the boat with this one, but I'll be in need of a hefty graphics card upgrade if I wanna be playing it!

Looks amazing, can't wait till it comes out... only problem i see if mods (if any at all) are going to have a hard time keeping up with those standards.

Not impressed. Their GDC video was good, great shaders, particle effects and art. Also some interesting physic plays, but those outdoor shots dunno

The president of epic was just speaking during an informal question and answer session during my lunch and he was really interesting. I'm actualy looking at him right now, he's intimidating but very cool. He had a fun sarcastic approach at things. He was a good speaker and fun to listen too even after I had no sleep listeraly all night before I came to this conference. He spoke wonders about the engine and had the shit to back it up.

Yeah, that's a great shot, though the rocks up close look pretty bad.

But compare it to this one: http://www.1up.com/do/slideshow?pager.o ... Id=3140086 (the same structure, different angle) and suddenly it looks terrible. :-\
