if you watch the high rez version on EA website, and go frame by frame you can easily see the polys in the player models, showing the low mesh with normal map data. But i agress with some of the other shots, they do look very CGI. Only time will tell or whats showing at E3.

Yeah, this is the same video they were showing screens of what, a year or more ago?

I might almost be impressed to see that running real-time. But I'll laugh my ass off when the final version doesn't look anything like it. I think a lot of people are sorely overestimating what they'll be able to do within the limits available and the time required to make the content.

well, if you take a look at all the gaming websites, EA marketing did a good job of creating Buzz on what the next-gen Madden "could" look like

omg pls...this is all CG and it's all marketing hype right now. I'm sure EA will have a Madden game for the Xbox360 launch...if they didn't they'd be idiots. But they will, and I'm sure it will sell a lot. I'm sure it will look better than anything they've done on PS2 or Xbox, but it won't look like CG in game.

anyway...it's all hype right now so we'll just have to wait till E3 at earliest to see it.

Knowing EA, the only changes they're gonna make to Madden are updated rosters and new boxart. Maybe that weak CG trailer will be the crappy intro.

I'm sorry for diggind up this sorry old carcass but since I found it unbelievably hilarious that next-gen Madden NFL 06 looks almost just like the old madden, just ported to Xenon. So EA hype engine is well oiled for the next-gen battles :roll: it is so good to know, I almost were worried.

Now we can just let the thread die.. again.
