I know I am off topic but we need more texture challenges.

I don't really get why Mike goes through all thoose steps. You can do tiling with just 1-2 steps. Thoose tricks he did might be smart, I dunno, but I can't see any purpose with them.

He made a full tutorial and not just "this is how you tile it".

But its just good, since we learn new stuff every day

Well that was a tutorial on making that photo into a good texture. Not just tiling it. If you can't see why though.

    Sad mikey.

To get a better texture as the end result? Tiling is one thing, but there's always something else to tweak.

making shit tile is easy, making it tile nicely especialy for games when making sure players maintain their belief in the game and are not taken out of the atmosphere, doing those extra steps was very beneficial.

I think Mike is the Shizznitz!

That single tutorial helped me more than all other tiling texture tutorials put together. Maybe you and some other would make tutorials of your workflow how to make handpainted textures, man-made and natural.

Well, I don't really make much art anymore... what kind of tutorial are you interested in?

Things have changed a bunch with all the normal mappin' and specular dance party action.

I do well with "hey i posted an ugly photo." I just draw on top of it and take pictures.

I know i ask much now but it would be wonderfull if you just took a texture of yours and you say which steps you did. it would help me a lot and then i can see how a pro would do it.
