Jail level designs?

    I'm, making a level set in an american jail for my mod, in single-player mode. I'm having trouble coming up with ideas for it though. Does anyone know any decent jail levels in other games I can use for a reference? I wouldn't know where to look on Google because I'm not so sure which games feature jail levels.

    Well HL2 had the combine jail levels, those were bitches. But if you want good jail reference, you could watch "The Rock" and "Dirty Harry The Enforcer" for references of Alcatraz, prob the most famous prison in the world.

    Alcatraz is quite a bit different from modern jails of today (well it is in The Rock anyway). I'm aware of HL2's jail, but I don't want to use that if possible for kinda obvious reasons.

    So far I have 'the outside gate - inside gate / prisoner transfer / cell blocks access' I'm not even sure what else would be inside, anyone been to Jail in the US here? My dad actually works as a prisoner officer here, but I doubt that it's the same in the US..

    raven shield had a really good jail. Its was almost the entire level. I could install it, and take some screen grabs if you needed some references.

    hmm....

    a prison or a jail? prisons are much bigger and more secure, jails are pretty small but they don't look like all bars etc anymore in america usually. they are more sofisticated.

    Ked; I dunno really, I thought jail was the american word for prison but I guess that's total bollocks. Create a layout if you want and I'll take a look. The jail in question is actually abandoned and used a gang hideout..

    How come you've been in so many jails then eh? You some bigshot convict?
