Curious to see what your picks are? :)

MGS4 ending still gives me goosebumps every time I watch it:

    Good Topic!

For the life of me, I can't remember most of the endings I've played anymore. But the ending of Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons really invoked some strong feelings that I will remember till the day I die. Says a lot for a game that you could beat in one session.

Also the boss fight of Dark Souls 1 left me some good memories. I really felt I've accomplished something rather than ticked a box of seeing the end credits roll.

this, one of those endings that made me question my actions throughout the game, has an even bigger impact once you start looking up the story online.

The ending of the Last of Us really got to me. It's the only game that ever managed to really make me care. That hit me on a emotional level.

If we're talking boss fights in general, Iudex Gundyr from Untended Graves in DS3. Completely optional, but hands down one of the best boss fights I have ever had. Even getting hit and knocked down was cool because he'd immediate go after you and you would feel like the underdog hero rolling away from the supervillain's next attack. I actually felt sad when I finished it, it was a pretty zen flow experience.

EDIT: As for end bosses, I think Thief 2's Sabotage at Soulforge was a masterpiece and the ending is great.

    GLaDOS.

I'm probably alone here because it was poorly recieved at the time, but I really liked the end of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault.

Tetris: The Grand Master 3's, because it's just so absurd. It's one of the only endings to a game that I get somewhat stressed out just by watching.

I loved original PoP and PoP:Sands of Time. They just turned him in to a SuicideGirl after SoT and it got a bit too cringeworthy.

Definitely Mass Effect (1) it's so hard to end a grand adventure on a galactic scale, but they pulled it off, sure the Saren boss fight wasn't amazing, but they pulled the pieces together masterfully, I really respect a game that ends well, shows they really care about people who invest in the game (since we all know most players don't even get to the end) but that mentality hurts the people who care the most, which is why I tut every time i hear it being thrown around :D

Assassins Creed started out as a PoP game until they decided to turn it into something else since it wasn't about the Prince anymore. Now we get broken releases every year of a new Assassins Creed, which sucks but atleast I'm happy they didn't do this with PoP.

Bowser from Super Mario World. I love how Bowser floats in his machine raining death from above at you. My second choice, the turtle tank from Contra III: The Alien Wars. That boss, while easy to defeat, was certainly iconic (as was the giant robot that tries to eat you).

I was being sarcastic of course. But that picture pretty much was impression after the "bossfight" and ending of it :D

Can't really think of recent games that stuck in my mind of having an awesome last bossfight and ending. Final Fantasy 7 was pretty intense, it took so long to finish the boss that the end was really satisfying to watch.
