    This thread is to show your work in progress shots. Feel free to comment, like and most importantly, provide each other with constructive feedback. You can discuss everything related to the contest here. If you feel like documenting your progress, you can start a new thread in this forum. Simply give the thread title the name of your map and off you go.

    Remember, map submissions go through our partner Gamebanana.

    Can't get any other angles, game is a bitch about testing a fresh compile. Can't even spawn in the game yet.

    You can't spawn without a map script. You can check our example maps in the sdk_content folder for guidance.

    What you can do is type: map map_name gamemode for ex. map doi_test liberation.. I was able to spawn on the map with only one spawnpoint.

    Couple early (v early!) screens from the Terri/Vaya/Lizard coalition force. We're taking a super aggressive agile approach and making large leaps with every build due to the timescales involved. (scale of stairs is mega off here- we'll fix later ;)


    Workflow is more fun than CSGO just now! Easy to make broad strokes and not have to worry about things such as angles and headpeeks :D

    Finally managed to actually load the map today. Just hoping for the best gameplay-wise right now, because I really only started playing online today. So far it feels like a smaller-scale Insurgency with a lot of the same really fun chaotic fights.


    Is anyone else struggling to figure out a location or battle? It seems like all the best ones on the western front are already in.

    There's still quite a lot out there. Looking at what you've done so far you could easily set the map in some nodescript french farmland @ dawn and still have a pretty strong theme

    I haven't played yet, so I don't know if it's in it, but I love to see a map based on this or the fight for Crete or the Finnish assault on the Russians.

    Would be great, although the game is currently lacking the Russian forces, will be great though if it gets added.

    Anyone else getting random hammer crashes since today? It's litterally every 2 minutes for me now, which is making it impossible to make any progression. Hammer was working allright before.

    Do you have to start it from steam or can you lunch the executable (like you must do for HL2)

    I've been loading it with the executable so far. There is no SDK for it on Steam afaik.

    Working on a Pegasus bridge map using the British. Focusing primarily on co-op, but the layout I've done should work decently for PvP game modes as well.

    Should be able to post a screenshot or two in a week or so!
