Might have been talked few times here, but why not again and again and again.

Now, this thread differs from others in the fact that now we present ideas of games that would not in any conditions work as a movie.

Simcity: the movie, now would that be a thriller, a blockbuster like day after tomorrow, special efects of buildings falling from sky, non-stop action for well over two hours of streets being build. That would be packed with adrenaline.

Other one would be on the same series, Sims: the movie, you just spend the whole time watching from isometric view while a family consisting of John Travolta, Drew Barrymore and the Olsen twins would just mind their business and they wouldn't even speak a real language, now that would be the biggest catastrohpe since the last weeks action movie box office hit.

Minesweeper; An uneducated man finds himself thrown into a mine field, he takes a few steps and then gets blown up - never being able to learn what the numbers mean.

sim-anything pretty much. Although sim-ant would make a kick ass movie.

Did dinopark tycoon come before Jurassic Park?

:edit: they both came out in 1993 :

Half life would make a kickass movie, although it'd be tough to do, because I would feel weird about having Gordon talk. Only way to follow Gordon's story and not have him talk would to film it in first person.. And a movie from first person would be... wierd. might as well just play the game.

This thread would be much more interesting if we debated what games would make kickass movies. Almost every game would suck as a movie. CS, 2 hours of 8 clones of 2 guys running around in a small, sealed area killing each other. Fun.

I'm really not sure what games I think could be made into a movie... not a whole lot of few games have plots involved enough to create a unique movie.

HL1:OpFor would make a kickass movie though.

Bridge Construction Set - The Movie

Kurt Russell is maverick engineer Isgoed Jones - with a gun in one hand and graph paper in the other, he battles for engineering where others don't dare. Will he be able to make the 1 mile suspension bridge across the valley for the poor opressed people in the Welsh village of Trawsfynydd?

Part A Beautiful Mind, part Braveheart, part Tango and Cash, watch as Isgoed battles thugs from the council town planning board!
