I don't have the greatest gpu(560ti) but ds2 ran at relatively-stable 60, this is barely around 10 fps, cmon.
I have a 560ti too, and I can run battlefront very smoothly
From software should try hiring tech artists

downgrading to 314.22 drivers fixed it for me

edit: still barely playable though, fps drops heavily in some places.
edit2: runs pretty well outside of the starting area which seems to be the most problematic.
Hopefully Durante will have some magical solution down the line for PC players like the previous 2 times.
I'm just completely put off playing games at launch these days, even on console. Always performance/bug issues. ![]()
It ran mostly good for me, but still my pc is fairly new, so maybe this does not count in terms of performance.
The only issue I have are some random(?) frame drops, which do happen but rarely.
But I have heard that in some situation the game crashes when approaching bonfires with certain shields equipped.
So they have some work to do on that game.
Not to be a dick, but From Software has quite the record in crappy pc releases. So if you buy this on day one, you only got yourself to blame. Just saying.
You could argue that this is not how it should work, but by now the reality is simply that stable games at launch are the exception and not the rule.
Playing on PS4, no problems so far! (at this point in Fallout I had already reloaded my save several times thanks to random bugs)
Apart part from the annoying crashes the game is awesome. I haven't experienced any performance issues so far which I find odd since I'm running it with a fairly old graphics card. I've installed it to my SSD so anything that needs to be streamed is just not an issue. The issues might lie somewhere else, I'd suspect the always online system. Which I've found that it does have a tendency to slow the game for few frames whenever I look at any other players messages/ receive an item / equip an item / perform an action with npc / use souls to level up / etc. whatever needs to be sent to a database
The mechanics are just enough different to make things challenging for people who's played the previous Souls games (haven't played Bloodbourne so I don't know how similar to that it is). I've noticed the enemies have more attacks that cannot be blocked with a shield and their attacks won't be interrupted when you block. Instead your attacks interrupt enemies attacks, so the most viable tactic is to dodge and time your attack between the enemy's blows so you can stagger them with your attacks. The dodge has gotten more range and use less stamina and you recover from the dodge to do any attack almost instantly so it makes the combat more quick. So in short if you liked to use a shield in previous games, this time it's somewhat harder because you have to dodge more often and the combat is quicker because blocking more often does not stagger your enemies attacks.
This time around the art is frigging amazing. You can see every texture is not merely just slapped on photo sourced stuff(which has been the bane of the whole franchise tbh) and the lighting is at most parts top notch as well.
Started the game up yesterday. Played for 7 hours.
Glad to see the performance is really decent on PS4 and generally a lot better than bloodborne. I was worried before playing because Bloodborne is pretty rough.
The only thing I really hate for now is the linearity of the world.

pvp sucks though, I get people sliding around me as if they were skateboarding and then I suddenly take large amount of damage and die, lovely.
funny how they still can't get the damn netcode right after 4 games.
Spoiler
That's kind of true but i have to spent a lot of soul level in vigor to be able to do decent roll like and to have a decent armor and weapon also.
I'm super excited to get into dark souls. Been hearing nothing but good things really.
Finished this the other day... Incredible game. What a brilliant note for the series to end on.. Seriously, it is such a brilliantly put together game.
The boss fights were brilliant in this game, much better than DS2 in my opinion (that game was such a mess).
My only complaint is that it was a lot easier than the others in the series. I don't know whether it's because I've played a lot of Dark Souls and Bloodborne by now, but I didn't struggle on any boss except the Nameless King. I beat the last 2 bosses in 1 go without dying. A last boss should be a lot tougher than that!
Personal favourite boss was the Twin Prince fight. The soundtrack is absolutely incredible here, and the cutscene and plot to go with the boss fight is just fantastic. As close to an 'emotional' boss fight as you're gonna get in a Souls game! I'd recommend reading up on the lore of these two, but here's the soundtrack from the boss fight. Ace stuff.
