This is sad, I really liked that twisted humor they had and overall liked it very much

But unfortunately it was easy to see :(

Shame, I really like a lot of their shows, and their sole focus on games and not all of the other bullshit that most other gaming sites focuses on today.

Really sad indeed. I was hoping they would still do some shows on YT but from what I gathered they're shutting down the whole thing. Yet I don't blame them, there's a storm of game shows out there and the mainstream crowd seems to prefer screaming men no matter if it's Pewdiepie or Game grumps. Nothing bad about that but I just feel like I want a broader spectrum and GT had something extra.

Well well, thanks for all those years!

I remember being an avid viewer a lot of years ago and for many years. Their reviews were always neat I remember.

Used to watch videos on this site loads back in the day. Hard to compete with YouTube though.

I really enjoyed their retrospective videos for different franchises.

Have not seen a single link to GT in a longer while.

Was bound to happen I guess :(

That's sad, didn't see that coming. I really liked the site and enjoyed their reviews and gaming specials a lot.

I was once an avid GT consumer, really enjoyed their exclusive content and the tech talks, all those interviews with devs that they would always manage to arrange that no one else was doing, but having less and less time even for just gaming I dropped all that part of my daily routine long time ago.

Still, how the hell can they shut down from one day to the next? Employees never had a feeling this was happening??

I had been thinking if the website was still relevant, but I think they still had their exclusivities at last big shows. I never checked, but I had the feeling recently that Geoff Keighley had already jumped ship and was doing more things on his own?

About time we set up an YouTube channel and start doing some Dev interviews and other cool stuff that these popular alternatives seem to have forgotten ;)

GT was pretty much the ONLY game news website that I visit(ed), all others, from what I can tell are way too politically correct and boring.

Also, GT had some really original shows, it was a bunch of guys trying to have fun and delivering news, previews, reviews and podcasts in some real original ways. I just loved their retrospectives just to mention one.

Fucked up man, just fucked up... I just hope they band together and try to make it on their own via patreon or something.

    This would be cool.

Mmh I dunno, at some point I got the impression they became victims of their own success. Geoff became too much of a prima donna, also it all stinked of sellout.

Still, was definitely good content, they were the only ones to access the big devs, have those round table discussions.

I wont consider Geoff part of GT tho, not anymore anyway, he didn't have a single show on there for years now since GTTV ended.

This was the vibe of GT these last few years, pure hype, positivity and passion for games.
