unfortunately doesn't show the game but by the contrast in the intro I'd speculate we can expect something looking like The Wolf Among Us rather than TWD or Game Of Thrones.

Can anyone remember this Batman logo to what storyline/saga/cycle is linked? It makes me think of an animated series but I've never really seen any nor read

Logo kinda looks like the unfortunate B&S

Well, they really dropped the ball with Game of Thrones and Minecraft. So I wouldn't get my hopes up too high.

Looking for the TWD thread made me find this one again... and I actually have pulled through an effort and finished this Batman Season 1.

Games shouldn't be an effort, but it was a bit like that, so you can tell I'm not happy with the experience (I'm thinking I'll give my first negative review on Steam).

First of all technically I think this was subpar, there was something wrong with this Batman, not actual performance I think, but some sort of stutter in camera changes and that sort of thing, in general didn't feel smooth. If was performance, then the game is poorly put together as my powerful gaming laptop runs games like Doom (4) easily. Also not so impressed with the art, I kinda feel Wolf Among Us was nicer as actual quality. Then there was stuff like press conferences with very few NPCs as public, which felt just cheap.

I guess I would overlook that aspect if the story was very good, but I don't think was as good as TWD stuff. Is a completely new Batman story (afaik) and I just didn't like how it used existing and well known characters (who turns out to be the baddie for eg, but also Harvey Two Face really annoyed me until he went off the rail). Most of all it was quite a struggle to go past chapter 1-2, then it picked up the pace a bit (if I hadn't purchased the whole thing on a sale I surely wouldn't have gone past the first free episode).

The other thing regarding gameplay, is that of course this is a QTE game but considering Batman Arkham and its influence in recent games, I think they should have explored a more predictable/systematic QTE system, to make you feel empowered.

Finally, considering the couple branching bigger choices, I was expecting not to complete -as far as achievements go- the game at first play. I haven't uninstalled it because for the sake of interactive narrative interest I'm curious to replay a chapter and see how it goes, how much it changes, or if the order of a couple scenes just shuffles, but certainly not even spending the time to track a different achievement doesn't give an incentive to players to replay "a game experience shaped by your choices" as they always advertise a lot.

Season 2 has been coming out and I hadn't paid attention (didn't even watched the trailers) since I hadn't played the first. This duality for the Joker is kinda interesting, but considering the first season how can you trust to pick it up.
