What feels unreal to me is that barbary can strike the world, but until these attacks happen all over the world, France will probably fight all of this alone.

Wow one of my friend is a big fan of Eagles of the death metal. He used to advice us (our group of folks) on the lasted trendy band who play in town and he told me yesterday that we was supposed to be there! We came to several event since I'm back in France Bataclan included. Hopefully he's so retard, that this time, it was already too late to get tickets.

I'm shocked. I know the town and even if I don't go night out over there every weekend I've been there several time. Oberkampf and all around is magic. When I see the faces of all the youngs who died I'm overwhelmed by my emotions. Hell yeah look at those boys and girls: http://imgur.com/a/X5KDl https://twitter.com/Rech_Paris And it get worst when you know that some of the terrorist commandos have vanished in the wild.

But what's freak me out the most is the respond from our leader, our representative as they can do barely NOTHING! Oh yeah we're going to give you more mass surveillance on the Internet and add more soldier all around Paris but is it really a solution? French state can't apply their sovereign power anymore to bring police, security and justice.

Also in the media they're spreading their propaganda bullshit that we are at war. Fuck yeah they are at war. Not us. They are our dead. Not theirs. France is a myth such as any country/nation in this world. Such as religions and money. Bare in mind that this war happen without your acquiescence.

Watch the full intervention to debunk the brainwash in the medias.

I think that what is the most important thing he said, was that the world is ruled by money and such things, that we all agreed it is part of our reality that the humanity cannot adapt its system of values to make the world less absurd. By that I mean religions as well as the concept of economy as it is and money itself for instance.

The hope should remain in the hands of truly intelligent people, those who can think about something else to build instead of living selfishly their own lives like most people. After that it will be pending on the mass accepting it even if it doesn't understand it!

I have to say one thing about that, even tough nobody want war, nobody either is willing to give up our little comfort here in Occident, and the point here is that your little comfort is actually depending on that "war" you're currently criticising, politic is something hard to understand, because it heavily relies on point of views, 2 peoples can actually be right about one question if they have different point of views and perspectives, even if they have a different answer.

Imagine two people facing each other, with a cup of coffee in the middle, one see the hang at left, the other sees it at right, and they are both right because they merely have a different point of view, thus the answer is useless if everyone doesn't share the same point of view.

I'm not talking about the terrorist acts of course, what they have done is complete madness, i'm talking about your reject of our actual society, how we are actually sheep who only follow rules, and these people who actually control us so bad, blablabla, I can't live the life I want because of them, we are brainwashed they are hiding the truth bla bla bla.

You have to face it, you are rejecting a part of our society while completly embracing the other part, look at where you live, look at what you are doing right now, aren't you living the life you want ? Aren't you going to bed and wake up when you want ? While eating when you want the food that you want, look at africa, and all these poor countries in it with people who even have to struggle to feed them, all of that violence which happens every day, all that poverty, are you even noticing the huge gap of comfort between you and them ?

The point is, we have become lazy assholes, we are actually criticizing how the world doesn't give us more, while eating our Big mac on the way of our prefered nightclub with our friends, when your scariest thought for tomorrow is if you will have a hangover or not.

You reject those big societies who are actually making millions, while buying their products because it's awesome, you probably own that super Iphone or another smartphone, while doesn't giving a fuck about all the slavery behind in Congo and China, or even not being aware about that. The thing is we don't care because we don't want to see it, everyday we want more in despite of the others.

Open your eyes, we are not sheeps, we are half-blind assholes.

We have the chance to do everything we want in this society, face it, we've just become too lazy to work hard for it, anyway, someone else will do it for us why bother ? And when this person will make it and collect the results of his hard work, we will hate him because he has become successful.

You life is not based on lies, the only lie is that you think you deserve something from this world, sorry I have to break it, you don't deserve anything at all, the world doesn't revolve around you, you have to move your fucking ass if you want to receive what you trully want, being there doesn't mean you deserve something.

So I don't know you Seldoon, but I have (had) some friends on facebook, who are fully into those conspiration theories, and I trully hope you're not one of these guys, I remember them saying how the government was brainwashing them, to prevent them to live their life bla bla bla, those people are born losers, and they will die as losers, you have that chance to become whoever you want in this society, and if you think that you can't because of someone else, i'm afraid you're a loser too.

There is big flaws in our society, that's sure, but it's up to you to work on that and make changes, don't wait for someone else to make it, they probably don't share your point of view anyway.

I'm sorry for the off topic.

when someone will finally have made some changes to this society, he won't care about the hate, because as I am currently facing it,when you even try to discuss things and try to think of another way to see the society, those lazy people try everything they can to shut you down, since they know that you're right in some way, but they don't want to make the sacrifice for themselves...

you can be right when you notice that something is wrong and that the facts point out to the system having flaws and naming them. It isn't relative at all. Points of view come afterwards when you try to correct what's wrong or when you try to rethink it all from scratch, this is where you have to put in place the principle of limited rationality to make the best choice, which at the end of the day is relative to some extent. Indeed you'll have possibilities which can be right to dismiss because they are just wrong, and those you can't be wrong to choose, because they're one of the few acceptable ones.

Yes it is, you can see something as completly fine while the other can see it as something wrong, i'm not sure that there is absolute truth, absolute thruth only exist when there's a defined point of view, points of view are the root of every cognitive thinking, they don't come before or afterwards, they are the outline that contains everything.

it exists. We just won't attain it ever because our cognitive capacities are limited and we cannot see and consider all parameters. It is like in physics in a way. Every is false because it is a model, but everything we use is acceptable in the domain of use. However something which isn't in pair with what we see in reality because the reality dictates the rules.

all of that to say that an acceptable solution cannot be considered as wrong for no reasons. And this is where it differs from opinion, or at least where it should.

@laminutederire : Exactly. This is the message of his conference. We're living in a paradoxical world where fictional reality have consequences in the real world we experience every day. I agree with his development that every systems we believe in and we don't even dare to challenge anymore are modern myth.

@RaVaGe : "...even tough nobody want war, nobody either is willing to give up our little comfort here in Occident" That the most stupid reaction we can have. As barren as the peaceful and interventionist debate. Even the fact to believe we assisted to retaliation here in Paris ('It's the fault of President Hollande, he should not-have intervened in Syria') is tricky as we could think Daesh is faking clues (fake Syrian passports made in Turkey). How's about asking us deeper questions? Who really started this war? Why?

    [Blocked Image: http://i.imgur.com/gWf9vSL.jpg][Blocked Image: http://i.imgur.com/gk2UQ5n.jpg]

"...you're currently criticising, politic is something hard to understand..." You know: "When the sage points at the moon, the fool looks at his finger." I don't agree with you that politics is hard to understand. The representative system (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Representative_democracy) don't allow you to participate. Of course as it is right now you can't understand the situation because the representative system states that you're not intelligent enough to participate and manage. It's clearly unthinkable for someone like you to make political decision in a system where you have to delegate your political power to representatives! But it doesn't mean you couldn't understand the situation at all (with the Internet you can learn so much thing alone and become multi-domain self taught). I don't mean we better all update our Facebook profile with blue, white, red waiting for the next attack. I mean that if our mates died last week its because we are powerless with this gerontocracy who don't understand the world we're living nowadays.

Paul valery said "War is a massacre of people who do not know on each other to the benefit of other people who know on each other but do not massacre." And this is exactly what's happening. "... i'm talking about your reject of our actual society, how we are actually sheep who only follow rules, and these people who actually control us so bad, blablabla, I can't live the life I want because of them, we are brainwashed they are hiding the truth bla bla bla." Wow stop! Where you're going? Please I beg you do not categorize me because I don't see any argument in this sentence. Also there's no ONE society there's SEVERAL society that evolve like networks. Such as each human is more and more mutated from each others, society evolve.

I'm not rejecting the society or even biting the hand that fed me! But as everyone here's I think it's time to ask questions! That's not a crime. I want to understand why I can collaborated with my team mates through Google Docs and develop complicated system with versioning software like Git on the Internet. I want to know how I can participate and collaborate or even enjoy my political power as now I can chitchat from barely anyone in the world whenever I want through message App or even Skype.

You exactly fulfill the theory of conformism, based on Solomon Asch experiments, describing the relationship between the group of reference and the individual person. A subject who has neither ability nor expertise to make decisions, especially in a crisis, will leave decision making to the group and its hierarchy. The group is the person's behavioral model. Also the agentic state theory wherein the essence of obedience consists in the fact that a person comes to view themselves as the instrument for carrying out another person's wishes, and they therefore no longer see themselves as responsible for their actions. Once this critical shift of viewpoint has occurred in the person, all of the essential features of obedience follow. I don't want to be discriminated anymore and suffer those consequence I want everyone to be able to weigh in the balance.

@Seldoon182 while he can be right about that I think he couldn't be more wrong about his predictions for our future. The future isn't about machines, it's all about men and how are we going to change how we act on the world. Because the only thing machines can do is allow us to be free from work, but since the whole system is based on that, we'll have to change how we organize ourselves to be ready not to work anymore (which isn't a bad thing because this would be replaced by a more significant education and a wonderful absence of pressure like we have for instance).

Anyway to stay on topic... if you wonder who started the war, we would have to go back in time a little bit, to begin with the creation of Israel, the colonialism past of Europe, the start of capitalism, and maybe even to the beginnings of religions themselves. It would be hard and somewhat pointless I think, because what matters is where do we go from there. And it isn't because someone years before our birth (by our birth I mean ours as well as those in Daesh etc) did something that led there that we have to perpetuate that and not defuse the situation by solving the actual problems of the present and stop pointing the finger at who attacked first.

People die all the time. A lot.

This whole thing sucks but 300 people died in Beirut the day before, nobody cared until they died in France.

To put it all in perspective nearly 4000 people died on the road in Poland in 2013. 50 000 injured. We should have a war on that as well :(

Yes the middle east is fucked up but every time the west interferes with their politics - either by force or attempts at diplomacy - the situation gets worse and you end with events like this.

What a shame to die from cancer and disease of the circulatory system. Lots of ppl there seem to understand and take care their feeding since mad cow disease. Vegan community and such so much solidarity and tips. Oh man I miss Cambridge already!

@laminutederire : Yeah his prediction for the future need more variables to be more accurate. But it doesn't mean we shouldn't debate about and try to envision what might happen. You're nailing the point. Is a currency useful enough when machine can do pretty much everything we need or when most of us will be optimized? (We are already optimized actually, shoes, computers and even my browser who correct my mistakes while typing like crazy on my keyboard).

Medias sold you representative democracy (shorten as democracy) as the most advanced human governance system and that we can't make it better. But we never experienced communism (except in totalitarian regime) or heterarchy, holacracy or even anarchy. The sure thing is that the future will be more and more decentralized, distributed and digital with less intermediaries in every kind of fields (politician, notarial, banker, and such...)

yeah the notion of scale is very important on how we live. I think the principles in urbanism these past years are in the good path on that point. Restructuring on a human scale should prevent some issues which arise from the fact that one doesn't recognize enough the humanity or importance of others because they don't see them etc.

It should also re-enter economy on living and not on making money alone. Because when you live in a small scale community, you think about the sustainability of it a lot more than when you think about making the large community glorious with power or money or whatever.

I would tend more to try communism because the sense of equity there is in my opinion more pertinent. But the debacle of the totalitarian regime will make it harder to try..

@jackophant I can't see the video right now, because I'm in class, but wasn't he the one with the sarcastic comment on the fact that we don't allow weapons as much as they do in the US on our territory and yet we are the one being attacked? Nope, it's Donald Trump saying he's going to "bomb the shit out of ISIS", "bomb their oil rigs" and get Exxon in there and "take all their oil".

God help the world if this cretin gets into power.
