What does it take to create an official map?

I am a intermediary level designer, I am wanting to create a project for several months. I know there is a lot of requirements such as, for example, map optimization. It's just that I'm in doubt, for creating maps for cs 1.6 we had w_pollys count etc. In cs: go, how can I measure whether an area is good? When an area is well optimized? Is there a command? Ty!

Use mat_wireframe 1. It'll lower your fps a lot so you can actually tell the difference between maps. To get reference values, simply check the official maps out when you use this command.

With mat_leafvis you can see which areas are drawn and it can indicate you if it's properly optimized :)
