We are a free-based modification: no one is paid in terms of monetary amounts.
hm... ok
Personally, i'd rather make something new than just making something prettier. Just making something prettier won't make it better i guess.
You have potential, but I kinda agree with Daan0, make something more like NW, own story etc.
I said it before, I'll say it again, you'd be much better off making a new 'episode' from the Half-Life universe over remaking Half-Life over again. Granted, it'll all be all 'high-res' content with more detailed environments and such, but ultimately it's still the same game we've played over and over to death. One cool thing would be original HLDM on the source engine, but ultimately I feel it to be a waste of talent IMHO.
Good luck with it anyway.
HL:Source was a dissapointment to me, so I am indeed looking forward to this! I recommend that you don't keep it too strict to HL1, as that was what HL:Source did.
I like that Marine Model.
We cannot please everyone and some just quite simply don't want us to produce Black Mesa: Source, but we're constructing it anyways. We aren't producing this to please everyone, we're producing this because we want to see Black Mesa in all its Source goodness. We recently had a media release via our website, and we are still seeking texture artists and model skinners.
i love the website
the flashlight clicked on and i was like OH
We are still seeking Texture Artists as well as a new programmer. Interested applicants should e-mail myself at jon.dominski@gmail.com please.

/me yawns thinking of it ![]()
A new version of the website is presently up, and allows users who cannot use the Flash version to opt out and use the HTML version provided. Also, an overview of our last media release is below. The first post has been updated with positions we are still seeking as well as details about our project.
QuoteDisplay MoreIf you haven't had a chance to find a copy of PCGamerUK, you can now read it on our media page. We first want to welcome several new faces to the development team including Angry Lawyer, a programmer who actually is a lawyer; TeddyBear, a texture artist whose work includes the Super-Soldier from Sven Co-op; Nokia, our second programmer; e-freak, an aspiring texture artist ; and Stormy, a modeling hurricane. In case no one has noticed, HLFallout.net recently interviewed us, and we provided them with two exclusive screenshots of Forget About Freeman and Lambda Core. With media this month, apart from the magazine exposure, we have levels, weapons, concepts and music. The first public viewing of a skinned model from Black Mesa: Source comes in the form of the 9mm GLOCK: modeled by Sanada and skinned by NecEvil. Following suit is another chapter preview: Forget About Freeman, designed by the talented Kester.

At Black Mesa: Source, plans are always changing, new ideas are popping up, and we find ourselves scrapping old progress to create a more intensive experience: which is why we have decided to release ONE full resolution shot of Surface Tension. This shot features the dam with custom textures created by NecEvil & bkd86. Flanking all of these is our conceptual art. The Anomalous Materials Entrance and Apache concepts drawn by bkd86 with the Controller concept drawn by, the now retired, Ole. In the Music department, we have a one-minute preview from our sound tracks, composed by the stunning Plink. The track is dubbed "Surface Tension".

To finish this all off, for all of you who are experiencing difficulties or having problems with the FLASH page, we have now released an HTML version of the website for your viewing pleasure. Our web developer Section_Ei8ht has added his own little comical twist to it. Before viewing the website, we would like to note it is designed to give you a chuckle.
Our WEBSITE is always open and we only ask you to stop by our FORUMS and give us your opinions on our work and any ideas you may have!
You so totally missed the point that it's actually quite amazing. Mike-0 1 have one word for you: gameplay.
I think you've made some great progress on this one. Hope I'll get to see a final product in the end just.
Keep up the nice work anyway.
Yep, i completely agree, it's looking nice. Although the rocks in the background of the dam map look just weird. Which is a shame because the rest looks very cool
