This game kind of came out of nowhere last week. Have any of you guys played this? It's made by one of the creators of The Stanley Parable. I'm curious about what you thought of it. Really interesting and thought-provoking. Unexpectedly emotional.
It's basically a game about a narrator "Davey" and his friend "Coda" who makes games. The narrator will walk you through each one of his friend's games and will sort of provide background information while also walking you through the levels. He talks about their relationship and what was going on at the time that Coda made the game.
Definitely not a traditional game in any sense really. It's not really a comedy game like The Stanley Parable was and it's not really a puzzle game. The game is really just there as a tool to help tell the story of the two characters and their relationship. There's lots of walking. I think alot of people write these games off as pretentious indie garbage, but I enjoyed it alot. I think if you enjoy games like Gone Home you should check this out. It's only about an hour and a half and it's 7.99 USD but I had some spare steam money left over from selling a CS:GO knife so I went for it. I don't really regret it.
