So I have this polarizing filter that I never really knew how to use until today. I went to Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano and holy crap it worked nicely. These are stock pics. Nothing was done but cropping and resizing. All were shot around ISO200.

What's it do? I don't see anything special really to be honest. But this one is amazing:

It's mainly a color thing. Notice how the greens and blues stand out. If I had taken pics without the filter on the difference would be way more visible.

    mmm lovellly~

yeah a polarizing filter works like polarized glasses--the idea is that it cuts out a lot of ambient atmospheric interference so you're getting "more" of your subject. i want one

These shots look amazing. Love the contrast between the sky, plants, and leaves.

those are some amazing pictures, i really dig that filter. except when me and my friends went to the nature reserve in savannah, it sucked! worst nature ever i swear, the best thing we got was a boring gator that was way out in the middle of an island...anywho, sweet photos
