Windows 10 upgrade

Will hold off until they fix the Oculus drivers.

You'd have to hold a gun to my head to get me off of Win 7.

Made the jump to 10 on my work laptop.

I was one of the unfortunate souls to upgrade and have a bug where windows settings and update cease to function. Basically, if you try to open anything that falls under settings Win10 tells you a default program doesn't exist after the window tries to flash up for a split second, cheeky fuck.

Anyway, reinstalled and don't need CD key! Win10 uses a hardware profile to remember your computer if you took the upgrade, which is pretty handy imo.

I also noticed it forces these boring grey window title bars on you which I've found quite hard to distinguish between windows, so I found a little guide to help others change it:

I took the manual approach because I'm not going to install anything on this thing I don't need!

Now that I'm properly up and running, after all windows settings ceasing to work, and I've personalised it a bit, I really like it. The iconography is a bit shit, they look really flimsy and the sizing is all over the place, but that's just the perfectionist inside me bubbling up, not a functional issue.

But then I also liked had no problems with Win8... take me out back and shoot me between the eyes? lol

So yesterday the brightness of the laptop's screen wasn't adjustable anymore, I thought that was because I had started downloading the update. Luckily after the update process it's working again. I had already emailed the shop I bought it from.

Anyway, just upping cos when I went to log in a minute ago... there was my girlfriend account available to log in from?? We never created an account for her, and I don't have any Windows "Contacts" app were they could get the information. She never looked at her email on Mail here so... does anyone know how that happened?
