de_warehouse is my first attempt at making a competitive map.

The warehouse will be set in the middle of a city.

Here is the link to the workshop page http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/fi…s/?id=457617142

The map has a rough layout but not ready yet, it needs a lot of game play testing.

Any feedback and construction criticism is much appreciated.

Before jackophant has a fit, I'll step in here for him. The title warehouse is a very generic one, and there has already been about 4 entries who have later renamed there map because of this. If you wish to continue with the warehouse theme, that is your choice. However I would recommend insist, that you change the name to something a little more unique.

Now for some critic. There isn't much too look at yet, and it would be nice if we had some more screenshots. The layout seems okay, but rather small. I'm personally not a fan of the idea that Terriost can wrap around B site. Ct's have to now Hold B and outside B path. A site also has a lot of little pathways in and out of it. I'll need to jump in later and look at it properly.

    @Guni <3

I think guni has it covered so far, but also, why are both bomb sites labelled B? Judging from the thickness of the wall, you could also wallbang from one site to another. I would really suggest putting more space between them.

I have taken the advice you guys have given me and changed the map.

I have changed the middle area of the map.

I have updated the workshop page and renamed the map ( i have probably picked a name that has being used before)

Anymore advice and tips would be much appreciated.

Depot? Come on man, you're pulling my leg right?

You get (2 pages worth of) the picture. Which is an improvement on 9 pages worth of "warehouse". And just for reference:

Aside from some shameless self promotion, it doesn't hurt to help your map stand out.

But seriously, let's get some screenshots up in this bitch. We've only got an overview to go by right now, and that doesn't give too much away! There's more to your map than just the name, but it's something people don't give anywhere near enough consideration.

Yeah i didn't think search the workshop to check the names, i was trying to keep it on the warehouse theme name.

I guess that's being over used, i will just for something different that will stand out.

Yeah i will add some screenshots to the workshop page, i guess people don't always have the time to actually play a map and they want to just look at the images to see if its worth there time or not.

Thanks for all the help your providing me with.

‌@jackophant Actually has a good point. Thinking about it the name of my map, de_shipment, makes me want to facepalm myself to the seventh moon of Jupiter.. :XD:

think out of the box for the name: look at a recent operation map setting in warehouses.. its name was Facade which isn't a wharehouse-ish name, but it made it recognizable. There is also Import which leads to a ton of results, but not much having the same name, I think you should think about what makes your wharehouse unique, and the name will come up more easily.

@Upperdawg yeah looking back at the poor choices of map names i just want to do the same.

@Iaminutederire yeah have had an idea for a name that is a bit different and hasn't being used when i looked on the workshop.

    Let's see some screenshots

If anyone is wondering Himilia is the 7th moon of Jupiter. It is fairly small, rocky and shaped like a potato. It was found on December 3, 1904 by C. D. Perrine, who named it after one of Zeus' many maidens.

For anyone wondering how far Upperdawg facepalmed himself, it would be about 588 million kilometers or 365 million miles.

If anyone is wondering, Upperdawg would have taken a rough estimate of 2 years and 6 months to reach Juipters 7th moon, assuming he is traveling at the current cruising speed of the International Space Station.

If anyone is wondering, there's a good chance @Upperdawg has suffered a grizzly space related death by now.

If anyone is wondering, I've always wished to leave this world in a grizzly space related death about 588 million kilometers from here. Too bad I have to wait for 2,5 years if I start today..
